I haven't quite decided how I want to spend retirement. I have been exploring various options:
1) continue to live where I am here in Toronto and enjoy life in the city with some travel thrown in
2) sell my house in Toronto and move away to another part of Canada where housing is a hell of a lot cheaper. I have my eye on a 6400 sq ft house with attached garage and wrap around varanda. It has an in ground salt water pool, cabana, hot tub, tennis court, and fire pit. It also has a stand alone garage that is 45 ft by 100 ft (something like that), and is located on 10 acres of property in a small town. Cost is less than I can sell my house for in Toronto.
3) sell my Toronto house and don't buy but just rent on a monthly basis, spend a few months down south, come back to Toronto or some other Canadian city for a few months, maybe move somewhere else for a bit of time, you get the picture. Maybe even spend a few months in Europe.
4) could sell and become a hobo living the RV life, or just rent a small place in the Toronto area.
So many options.
