Real Good Massge

I am looking for a good massage as well as the usual extras. I know that it is not the reason that we go to these places but I need some sort of actual massage this time. I agree with jimmyf.

As I wrote on another thread a while back, both these places are very good and they each have their own styles, so it depends on what turns your crank.

Both have Oriental ladies who are trained and skilled in the art of massage; neither is a rub-and-tug; both are licensed as Holistic Centers. I prefer Chang's, on Lawrence at the DVP (416 386 2285). Shirley is just a fabulous masseuse and Coco, formerly of Tuina (I am not sure but I think their number is 416 486 2686?) now works there, too.

And as others have said, neither of these places specializes in eye candy. If that or extras like N, NR or BS are important to you, don't go! But if you are really into masssage by great hands -- better than RMT, IMHO -- you'll walk out feeling like a king. Be careful because your feet may not be touching the ground!

I agree with the above posts .Tuina is the best place for a basic with release.Make sure you can take the hard massage before you ask for it .On bit of advice stay for at least 45 minutes to get a proper massage .

Please do a search, this place tends to overcharge. HJ could be considered as extras at sweet dream. Also Topless is not quite topless. When you go for a just a good hard massage, Shirley may sweet talk you to prolong it to 45mins or one hour.

I'm a little confused. If it's like an RMT but not actually RMT -- wouldn't the finish be available?

If not, why not go for an RMT when seeking a deep tissue massage?

Anybody got any info here? I know that NOTHING else is available, but a decent finish makes for a happier experience either way.

Based on my own experiences, the only thing I can honestly say about all these places (and there are others like TCM, INeed and Oriental Rainbow) is YMMV. [BTW, if any of you know of any others in the GTA area, please let me know. Here or in a PM.)

You can never say that HJ's are out of the question, you can never say they are available. I think a lot depends on your vibes, your cleanliness, your "connection" or lack thereof with the MPA, how the MPA may be feeling that day...

My suggestion is try it. Don't expect anything except a very good massage and see what happens! And even if it is not availabe on the first visit, you may be pleasantly surprised on the third or fourth time.

I don't think you are being very reasonable. No one has said what you can or can't talk about. And no one has told me whether or not I can give you my version and interpretation of an answer.

How do these places -- the ones we are talking about here -- stay in business? By giving you a great massage! Lots of us want and appreciate that. It's hard to find! If you want a HJ, go to a place where HJ's are on the menu: there are 100's of them available. But remember that in most of them the massage is an illusion.

Of course the question is over the edge. You are only an anonymous poster here: these places are out in the open. Would you like someone to ask you a direct question in public, where your identity is known, enquring whether you may have committed some offence that will get you in deep doo-doo?

So you were not perfectly clear about Chang? That is the message! You got it! You just did not like it!

As I said, some of these things each of us has got to find out for ourselves. This board is here, as I understand it, to save you, as much as possible, from making (too many) mistakes and steer you in the right direction: the rest is up to you!

I didn't mean to start such a heated debate with the original post. I was merely asking which MP offered a great massage. I was not refering to RMT's or similar spa's. I was wondering which MPA offered a great massage.

I for one know that LE does not particularly check these boards that often. They are more concerned with complaints more than anything else. So I apologise about the direction of this post.

I have read a lot of reviews in the past and the common theme seemed to be that the massage was light and not really affecting the review. I was looking for a little direction as to a known MPA that gave a great massage as part of the service.

There must be at least 600+ Spas in the GTA who offer a basic "complete head-to-toe" massage as all us ( including LE ) understand it.

It really would be impractical for LE to pursue all these establsihments for that reason alone.
