With Trump now in the Whitehouse you can bet our economy will suffer from his protectionism policies. Less disposable income for all. This slowdown could last longer than expected.

It would be interesting to see the age demographics for hobbiests. The large aging boomer population dying off could have an impact on business as well.

Long gone are the hey days of EBC and surrounding areas.

Although Canadian election coming up in a year and interest rates going down will stimulate the economy.

It could. But housing costs remain high. A lot of people are house rich but cash poor. Others struggle to save for a down payment to buy and continue to pay inflated rents.

Hopefully people aren't borrowing to hobby or spending their inheritance on spa girls. Lol!

As you get closer to Christmas it slows down. People saving money for gifts and spending more time with family over the holiday season.

At the same time many Asian girls go back to China to see family and stay for the Chinese New Year.

I noticed talking to the girls lately they are all complaining about business being slow. They say there are too many girls in the market. Some girls are coming in for a week from out of town and leaving right away after they realize it’s not good business here. Some girls are texting me to come see them, where ordinarily that doesn’t happen. They have enough perverts already coming in to see them. Are the tides starting to shift in favour of the John’s?

This is the slow time for spas and this is the time lots of girls moving around hopping spas to spas hoping they might find a busy spa, only to find out it's the same every where. Another problem is so many spas and not enough customers. At 155 East beaver creek, , 3 new spas open within a month just last month, Sunlight, Landou and Foot To Be , all side by side., in between them is The One spa which opened about 6 -7 months ago. I went by there a few days ago around 8 pm ish to see how they're doing and some girls getting only one or 2 -3 customers and one good looking girl was zero out of the total 2 customers at her spa.. Just wonder how long they will last. Across the road , 160 East Beaver bldg alone has 8 spas but well known spas with popular girls are doing alright.

2. Supply (# of places) is large
3. The pool of ladies has been chiseled into a biomass of seasoned professionals who know exactly what bare min to provide to get easiest $/effort.
4. Erratic client pool always chasing the next new thing gives spas zero reason to provide a consistent standard of care.
5. Credit cards are tapped out

Could go on and on and on but if you just loook across the board most businesses are slower, its not an idiosyncratic problem, spa girls just happen to whine more (good way to get a fatter tip from the softies)

i know some spas are slow, but, crikey, has it been busier at the other spas you guys go to today? I went to see one of my regs today and she was solidly busy from like 11am until now. Plenty of guys went to see her and since I was a walk in (it's not usually busy during lunch time), i kept getting bumped. Got a 30 min slot only because there are other appointments right after mine. The spa only has 3 girls on duty and while I was there, all three seemed pretty busy. Granted, the other two are often busy because the primary girl was busy and the guys decided to try one of the other two. Even while I was there waiting, there was 3 guys turned away. I wonder if it's because the weather is nice now and it will be totally poop next week.

There will be line ups for a good girl. I have been with only maybe two or three dozen spa girls. Not all but most have been crap. I had much better luck with escorts and more sustainable. So that is me mostly now but will do spa. I feel stupid spending a lot of money to a girl that is getting rich and she does not care to be half decent.

I asked one MPA why her coworkers did not do more for customers (e.g. kissing, BBBJ), when they could see how busy she was, making much more money than them and only working a few days a week. She pointed out that just getting two or three customers a day still pays more than most jobs, so they can still get by without doing things they do not want to do. Because I like high mileage it can take some time and a lot of research to find SWs that I like. Lately I am having more success with SPs.

I wonder if the girls are getting as much from the door fees now at least at the spas that split door fees. I think some spas have tried to raise room fees but have been forced to drop them again. Maybe the spas start paying the girls less and that's how come the tips have gone up?

Definitely too many spas, but also the quality has gone down across the board. The good spas with old school customer services no over booking etc, good massage/service and clean nice facilities will not only survive but thrive. Just like my business in renovations, I’m not the cheapest but I maintain a level of quality and professionalism that separates me from the rest. I’m always busy but never too busy for a new client. Up every morning at 4:45 am on the road to beat the traffic and crush the competition waking up at 8:00 am. Those guys don’t touch a tool until 10:00 am at best and get nothing done.

Im sorry, but I will push back HARD on 60/h door fees being a problem.

Everything from an hour of labour to a litre of gas has climbed considerably since I started hobbying, room fees remain the same... if they were in line with other service increases, they would be closer to 100/h, especially at places with showers/table showers/higher end facilities.
