A little bird with inside knowledge told me that York shutdown is likely to happen, possibly as early as Monday. I have no idea how accurate this is (but he was spot on last time) so I'm simply passing along what I heard.

York region is a nail foolishly sticking up in the scheme of things that is about to be hammered down. This is an example of politicians putting their interests before public health. What did they expect to happen with these mindless micro management ? The global pandemic doesn’t recognize Steeles Avenue one way or another although horny dicks do.

I don't agree with the lockdowns, but it never made any sense to replace the number number system with colours. Obviously people were just going to travel to a neighbouring region if there was no lockdown there. Ford has shown zero leadership on this, he just hides behind the "I'm doing what the doctors tell me" line.

Last minute shopping for your fav before Xmas and send them the gifts and your contact number so you will have a private fun time with them when it is closed for business. Make sure it is safe and sound in the car with little windows open for fresh air.

i just went to York region to get a part to fix my toilet. Sorry, I needed to physically measure the part so curbside pick up is not an option.

Outside the contiguous region that is Toronto, I don’t like the idea of shutting down an entire region. York goes up to Keswick and Georgina. If cases rise in Vaughan, RH, or Markham, why lockdown Aurora and north from there?

While I disagree with shutdowns unlike some people who constantly jerk off to the mere thought of it, I do agree with some who say Ford should have just shutdown the entire GTA or province. If you're gonna do it, might as well go the whole 9 yards. You do it regionally and the virus will spread in other locales and these unsympathetic, uncaring, quack "experts" will find ways to keep extending and extending and extending this damn lockdown while they continue to get paid their six-figure salaries. From wearing masks to social distancing at work and business settings to extended lockdowns, we're all so goddamn fatigued already!!! Time for the government to be decisive about something and stick to their guns so we can all get back to some semblance of normalcy.

If you shut the schools down you might as well shut everything down as the parents have to stay home with the kids. Unless the parents are office workers and can log in from their home, all the other workers that have to go in to a location or are on the road then are screwed. Then you screw businesses as their workers don’t show up and the dominos continue to fall.

Having kids in schools is critical to keeping the economy running.
