I will second that. Happened to me with, what I was told, was a VERY legit provider a few years back.
She did a little groin grind against my hand and I twitched my finger about 2mm as a test. She giggled, grabbed my wrist, shoving my hand between her thighs, and basically straddled my hand, rubbing back and forth, while giving me a fantastic milking reverse hand job.

This has always been a question for me as well- If we go to an establishment that charges $80 for a massage and provide a 40-60-80-100 dollar "tip" for services, are we expected to tip an independent lady who works out of her own home who asks for the exact same fees (equal to $80+tip payed to AMP)? It seems to me that we should be paying less as the independent lady pays no income tax, EI, business tax, GST, license fees, etc.- AND what we are paying them includes the tip that we would pay an AMP.

I don't pay less with a lady working from home. Massage is the only difference where the lady pays the room fee. Which is around $30.

But now she has to provide and do her own laundry, perhaps buy the massage table, soaps shampoos, towels etc.

With no parlor interruptions, I find a good home rmt/happy ending can be far more beneficial so reducing pay for me is a non-issue

I feel that your dealing with a masseuse no matter where they work. You pay for the service that suits your needs, and budget, maybe you can't afford the better ladies so expect to get what you pay for.

Her business license cost $ 1400.00 per year . In Calgary

NOW no more clownin..recently i have been asked for 180 for full service with an asian independant...at places like fort rd e.g. i have asked for 45 mins and it was 200...at new places i expect to pay between 140 and 200 for a range of services..only once i was asked for 300 by massage by jane..all the others have been reasonable..as for choice between parlours/independants the parlours seem to have a set plan of action and some even use the exact same terms e.g. "oh i came first this time"..the independants are more flexible but all are ymmv

Forget trying to set a "standard rate", the fact is a tip should always be based on the offering and quality of service. Sure the first time you should pay the requested rate, if the service is not there you simply don't return. However good service should not only be encouraged but rewarded, otherwise the extra effort fades away. All too often providers get soured by cheapskates, or move to greener pastures. I recall that MIss V told me she preferred Calgary as the men in Edmonton were too cheap, I avoided falling into that generalization with her by always tipping generously. Sadly she eventually moved to Calgary
This is not a hobby where one should search out the lowest price, your not buying a fricking car.

I like to try new places and stick to $40 tip for basic services and have never been rejected. If it's a horrible massage, bait and switch or I have zero attraction to the masseuse then I offer $20 and have never been rejected. Even if I was turned down it wouldn't matter because I would never go back to that masseuse. Completely different story for my regular masseuses, they do such a good job that I let them set the price and even then it's still in the $40 to $60 range.

in regards to the difference of generosity between the men in calgary and edmonton i lived in calgary for 35 yrs and yes i met my share of big talkin, big bullshittin, drug store cowboys down there who would like to throw around big cash whether they could afford it or not..i also met a caucaisian massage girl who laughed at taking a young soldier for a good chunk of change just before he left for iraq !!..im sure their are stories like that all over but i want to say that i enjoy the city and people of edmonton and i am proud to live here now..i hope both the customers and providers of massage in edmonton are all treated with respect, dignity and fairness

My comment was not intended as a slight towards Edmonton, Have lived here for 40 odd years and love the city.

I am sorry if I am the only one to speak to this but FFS, are you saying you tip $20 when the level of attraction doesn’t meet your sophisticated scrutiny? That is the most offensive response I have seen in quite a while. Having said that I thought I blocked most of the the douchebags on this site but you just added to the list.
Just because the lady would rather not lose your pathetic chump change does not make it acceptable to treat her so poorly.
Gentlemen. $40 for basic extras is bare minimum. Accept it and stop trying to find a golden deal. FFS your lunch probably cost that much! Accept that having a complete stranger touching your junk is worth at least $40 and maybe the rest of us won’t have to deal with the poor attitudes from ladies who have to deal with cheap ass fools like yourself.
I will also point out that I have never tipped less than $50 and generally am $60+ because I have no misconceptions of what this is.

Agree with Spexx. I've never gotten a basic finish for 20, used to use that as a starting point but got turned down immediately. Even 40 rairly worked. Can't be bothered trying to negotiate to achieve my satisfaction anymore, unless they are asking for a stupid amount of money. Generally if they ask what I'm willing to pay I offer 60 for basic and we move on from there

Take a look at the service being provided. If one had to provide the expected service how would it effect your performance after an entire week, month , years? If you want better sometimes you get what you pay for. What price tag would you put on your own time ? If I go into a session knowing that there is no additional service it doesn't effect how I valued that effort. I tip well unless it is a terrible ordeal. Then I just do not repeat. Seldom have I found a session that was this bad. I still tip regardless .
