What both the Democratic and Republican parties need are candidates with ideas, political positions and proposed policies that are not conventional or popular within their party. The last thing people from both sides of the aisle need is more of the same like another Bush or Clinton. The last thing anyone needs is promise of change from lifers who represent the status quo like Biden, Pelosi, Romney or McConnell. Hopefully in 4 years, we never hear from these dinosaurs again! Lastly, neither party needs people who run big businesses and use them to get far politically like Michael Bloomberg or corporate-backed whores like Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.
In an idealistic and unrealistic world, we'd have Rand Paul or Nikki Haley running for President on the Republican side. On the Democratic front, it'd be a delight to see either Tulsi Gabbard or Andrew Yang winning the nomination.
I would love to see Tulsi Gabbard win in 2024, if Trump isn't running.
