Perhaps if you had posted a bit of an introduction about yourself , and your time in Thailand, and not just jumped in with the "BG's v Normal girls" and "catching of std's" then you would have got a different reception.

Since your brother owned a bar in Patong , and you've been out there for 4 months , you should have a better insight into the scene than a lot of people. steve, its just a thing with my thinking about the difference between bgs and non bgs.

its just a personal choice, and as you are aware i fully support the good relationships between bgs and farangs.
if a man meets a girl in the sex industry and love develops good for them.

but i have a mental block when thinking about how many guys a girl has been with before.

not many farang i have met will admit they met their wife in the bar/go-go scene.But if they love each they are consenting adults.

it is easy after a while to see in most cases who has met their partner in a bar or met otherwise, its no problem to them thats where they met, and its no problem to me.

its just i wouldnt marry a girl who had many bfs before in the east or the west

Believe me that the stories of the 'regular girls' are just as bad as the stories I hear about the BG's..

It should be noted that 'regular girls' that establish relationships with farang guys especially short term relationships or ones while people are vacationing are very rarely 'good' girls or girls from higher society etc backgrounds.. Most TG's actively looking for a farang BF are just as money motivated as the BG's but are not as up front about it..

i am very sceptical of "regular girls" who establish relationships with holiday farangs especially in the tourist areas.

talked to a nurse for a long time who works at bangkok-phuket hospital, she has colleagues who recieve sponsorship from farangs.

upcountry its not the done thing in general for good girl to even talk to a farang who is not connected to the family in some way.
The shyness on their face at shops when dealing with farangs demonstrates this i think.
its beautiful to see this to me, as it removed from the brash attitude of the bar world.

its down to chaparones, meet the parents, etc etc
