Always been okay... just not with explicit details. Some guys think its necessary to write in the review explicit details and if they cannot, they don't see the purpose of the review. If a guy writes a review that has details in it that shouldn't be there, I will pm him.

I read some reviews that go as far as to say whether or not the girl is shaved or not, etc. If my bylaw states that the girl is always to be covered with opaque material, how does the guy know whether or not she shaves? See what I mean?

The problem here is many guys don't realize that the bylaws are different.

For example... they see other massage parlours with their prices on their web site. They email me and think that I don't post the prices because either the girl's are trying to be tricky or I am by not posting them. Mississauga and Brampton, the girl is allowed to give a nude reverse and they are allowed to advertise it. We are not. So because of that, I can't post prices in the rooms or online - that is why I depend upon the client to email me and tell me if they feel that they have been over-charged, etc. I don't feel comfortable with stopping clients in the hallway on the way out to ask them and I don't think they would feel comfortable.

So because the districts are different, many guys think that I requested no reviews because I was trying to hide something. Not true at all. At that time my bylaw was reading the board. I was threatened I would be shut down if my bylaw officer read another review containing any suggestion that the girl provided a NR or BS, etc. I had no choice.

There have been guys out there that have written very informative reviews of the girls without including such details and others pm them for the details.

When is someone going to write an instruction sheet on how to review?

.......................I have to work harder simply because of where I am located. Do you see those nice pics of girl's on other spa's pages where they are wearing no top but covering themselves with their arms, or a pic where they are only wearing a g-string, or just a towel, etc? I can't post pics like that. The city wants to see that she is wearing a top and bottoms to cover her ass.

Of course allowing reviews poses a risk. It's posed a risk since a place 3-4 years ago got busted while the owner was on massageplanet.net and the police got the massageplanet.net URL and printed out all of the reviews. I have played along with bylaw since I have been here and played by the rules - even the ID thing which is absolutely rediculous - but I said I would do it just to show that I wouldn't give up so easily. They did what they wanted to do - they dropped my business a bit. But I'm still here and the numbers crept back up. Regulars are used to it and it doesn't bother them. There are many things that I can't post to you here. Writing what I have has taken a risk of the wrong attention.

Guys.. when boxers retire... do they wanna go out on top or on the bottom? If York Region takes me out, at any time, I would rather go with a bang and be remembered ... leave a mark behind... know that I.. that HFH... made a difference.

I'm proud of HFH and the foundation it has built - I feel I did it like no one else did. I'm proud of my girl's who helped me get here and gave HFH the reputation it has

IT and HFH aren't related as much as it seems so. There are different owners at IT and I am not one of them.... so it would be like me sending the girl's over to Allure to work... see what I mean? Paul is here with me... but I'm not over at IT with him.... understand?

It's not Vaughan that is eliminating MP's... you're speaking of another area. There are only 4 licensed places here in Vaughan and I believe they plan on keeping it that way

Well, I think there already is a "Newbie's Guide to Writing a Review." I think it's just a matter of them actually reading it.

And, you've seen my reviews. They are the complete opposite of what you would want to see about your spa. Not that I couldn't/wouldn't tone them down, as I have (I think) when I saw Ivana. But, for the most part they're very detailed and I don't think I'm the example you'd want to have.

I have unfortunately not yet had the opportunity to visit the fabled HFH. But after reading this, I must recitify that. Kayla, thanks for all the time you spent doing this thread.

It gives people an idea of how the fine place your provide works and that we all have a responsibility to keeping it going if we are to enjoy it.

I reckon everyone who posts here should read it.

In a way, I believe this has affected HFH's business Kayla.

For instance, a new girl can't start at SRM without a post asking who she is and where she came from etc. The most recent example is Paris, whose post has also generated 1000+ views.

By comparison, new girls start at HFH and there seems to be less "buzz" and reviews.

Does this mean SRM girls are hotter than HFH girls ? Hell no. I had a fantastic session with Rachael last fall, but my review was "edited for television", and there have only been a couple of additonal reviews of Rachael.

The reality is clients such as myself want to know what we're getting into before putting down our cash, but the key is finding a balance between saying EVERYTHING and saying NOTHING.

Some massageplanet.netites believe that discretion is the better part of valor, in order to avoid LE involvement, but lest we think LE doesn't know what's going on, we're dreaming in technicolor.

Our society tolerates body rub parlors coz stuff goes on behind closed doors, away from the general public. There's NO way you could know what's going on without being deliberately involved in the hobby.

It's the same with massageplanet.net. You have to actively sign up as a member in order to read the reviews.

As such, I believe I owe it to my fellow members to post accurate and honest reviews of any new MPA's I choose to see....

.... and if that means pushing the boundaries a bit, well so be it

I think that me and Wolly are in the same shoes. We want our reviews to create the scenario for the reader and yet be informative as possible without steeping over the bounds.

We have to remember what bylaws are under the MP we are reviewing, but we are clients and don't know them all and in many cases are not bothered to do any research besides the basics. I mean that much of the info is in threads already written but to put it into a compilation along with written notes on what you created for each region would be time consuming to say the least, and once again many of us can't be bothered with wasting our time on it. It would also have to be reviewed by someone with a knowledge base to critique it thoroughly.

Then why should we ?

The answer is the BENEFIT, but the downfall is that many don't read the stickies and they get forgotten.

Defining "Benefit" would be to the workers of the MP that are out there. There is no benefit that I can see to the members of this board as many don't write reviews or care to write them, it is more of a take than give attitude for many who visit. For those that do write they take on an extra responsibility and remember we already paid for a service and the work that we do afterwards is free advertising, so my benefit is Zero from MP and MPA and appreciation from the members that acknowledge my efforts.

HFH is busy enough to not need the free advertising from reviews.



If we say too little, we get PMd, and if we say to much, we get editted and PMd, and when you write a lot of reviews like I do then you get sick of answering questions that are not appropriate and what steers many away from writing a review is the amount of questions afterwards.

OK, being one of the big blue meanies, who gets to censor reviews so they can get a PG rating, here's my penny farthings worth. I'm dead against censorship, but it does have it's place when the "greater good" may be at stake.

From my perspective, in a nutshell, the problem with referring to certain activities in licensed MPs, even though LE or bylaw may well have an idea of what goes on, is that throwing it out in "public" brings in other dynamics. In the end it could put them in a "sticky" position and provoke action.

As for "valour"; where would we be without our favourite spas. There's not much point in sharing information with the massageplanet.net brethren, if the spa doesn't get it's license renewed. I've always tried to convey, to little avail, that it's not "us vs them". One without the other couldn't exist.

It's true that you can "push the boundaries" without "throwing it in people's (read; LE ) faces". A lot can be said without saying much at all, and it really doesn't take any high level of eloquence to do so. It helps to know what other tourist's required fun factor is. For instance, I know if Happy was happy with the fun factor, I would be happy too. There are other members where this line wouldn't be quite so clear, but it's not too hard to read between the lines and get an idea of the overall picture.

I don't think we necessarily need to learn the individual bylaws within each region. I think we probably have a good enough understanding as it is. When unsure it's always best to lean in the direction of caution and any spa that is having a problem will let us know.

I did a couple of reviews where I used the fun factor rating [stolen from Kkarn], which at the time I thought was maybe an acceptable compromise to a "mileage rating" An actual mileage rating can imply almost anything in the eyes of both LE and tourists. To use extremes, while one member's idea of high mileage might be "touching the kitty" another might think it implies FS. A fun factor rating, I suppose, would have the same implication, but could be more acceptable in the eyes of bylaw.

Yeah, I know it sucks to talk in vague cheesy terms, but reading about people's porno star sexual prowess can be a little unsettling as well : ) Both are of use to someone though.
