The lyrics may be contrived but the music made them famous for whom it resonated with. “Still of the Night” is as big as it is impressive. The sappy radio played songs are weak and rightly so.

Without that sappy stuff only diehard metal heads would have known who Whitesnake is.

It’s been that way since video. It’s not good, deep or original music getting played all the time, it’s the more popular assembly line music being pushed out over the airwaves and TV sets.
