Lol honestly I'm frugal as hell. I travel. My most expensive bag is max $250, probably bought on sale at $150 instead.

My clothing is simple. I don't wear expensive jewelery. I don't wear heavy and expensive makeup. I rarely go out for drinks. I don't need to make anywhere near what I do, and I can't save it all because money leaves a trail and the government always wants in.

I do think that maybe an exit plan is in order.

Yes you can save money, but you need to consult a professional ( accountant)for advice, I'm sure they know what to do. Do not look for a financial advisor cause many are crooks.

I think I'm having one of those crossroads moments.

On one hand, I love my job and 90% of my clients are awesome

On the other, spas are full of drama, overworked girls, and petty shit.

I only work one day a week in the industry but sometimes I still dread that day due to those things mentioned.

I'm at the point where I'm unsure if I switch spas and hope it doesn't cause my client base to drop off the face of the earth, suck it up and hope it's just a moment of weakness and will pass, or leave the industry all together.

It's been weighing on me for like, 4 months now so I don't see it getting any better.

Have you guys ever dealt with this in the real world? Or had a regular spa girl that maybe had the same conundrum? I'm listening and appreciate the feedback.

You just try float tank, it is very relaxing or you can meditate. If go regularly you can get it for $35 per session.

You know I used to be a cashier for my family business a long time ago. I had a woman tried to rob me with a knife and I had two guys tried to get me with an axe. I'm not telling you this for pitt or ego. I'm telling you my job was very dangerous. Then you had people steal shit frequently. I had a guy small glass door for kicking him out because he was being abusive. I too had too much drama bs mostly from customers. Mind you most of my customers were very nice.

Maybe you should give caming a try. Since you're working once a week. Your are your own boss and don't have to deal with people. Also there are always men are willing to be mod to ban trolls. Not sure if you're willing to do this since you have to show your face and you have to deal with privacy issues.

They get you go out dates for free meals and try to extract resources. If they get pregnant they want to child support and have an easy life. I remember reading an article where a woman was collecting welfare and lying to men she was pregnant and ask for abortion money. They found she was making several thousand of dollars scamming men for abortion money. At least with a sex worker she isn't going to do that. A sex worker usually doesn't have anyone to talk to. Since they are judged harshly and a lot of people don't understand their situation.

I agree for the most part although you must admit that it is the money that gets them going. Not every potential MPA is a hooker, some get into the biz because they got in a jam and the only thing they got to sell is tit and ass. At this point in time, there are girls that will tell you that you can not stick your finger up their ass. These girls over time will not be getting shifts as MP morph into brothels. Why? The owners are driven by business, the Premier chain has a huge draw of customers, WHY?

Exactly this. Making both of my world's coexist has been the hardest thing I've probably ever dealt with. The money is addictive, but like any drug, it comes with so many side effect.

Honestly it's not the work. I will always stand by the fact that some of my clients are the most amazing people I've ever met. They bring me actual joy. I enjoy the work I do. If I had say, 10 regula clients I saw every week, I'd do it in a heart beat. Over and over.

But when you add a bunch of randoms in the mix, I'm an industry that can sometimes not care about the working girls, and adding having to submit and kiss ass ever when you know the higher ups are wrong, it can break you sometimes. It's not my clients or the work, at least for the most part. It's this fucking toxic cloud of people and shit that come with the work.

I so wish they'd fully legalize and drop the stigma associated with sex work, so there could be actually legitimate places that you could work for, where you didn't feel like such a disposable commodity. As it stands now, it's pretty much 'submit or leave'. We have no say in anything anymore and it's sad.

As well as in any business owners/management push the workers for more profit and many workers suck it up ( maybe even literally )

I won't add much more than to remember the door swings both ways (so to speak. ) For most people we've felt miserable and trapped in a job we didn't want. Once I realized there are always other options I stopped fearing losing or quitting a job. Whatever you decide good luck.

Actually, that is a true statement. I have proposed to about 7 or 8 sex workers since I started this hobby. Once I fuck them and cum, I basically want to marry them.

If it no longer feels right, it probably isn't. Follow your heart and do what is best for you and only you. Move on as you owe nothing to your regulars. Look at your time in as only one small portion of your life. You sound bright and energetic, so use the positives in your life to build a future upon and don't look back.

I'll keep it simple. If you can afford to walk away, then do so. I've seen girls burn out in this business, it's never pretty. Don't look at it as a career. Definitely start working on your exit strategy.

It's all for a great paycheck, which is exchanged for a better life outside of work.

Best job I ever had and actually enjoyed was barely minimum wage. Gave it up to make more , although, I also fear and loath going to work some days, not all, just some.

That sacrifice allows me to live a better life away from work.

I cant stand people that say they love their job or their job is perfect. No job is perfect they lie. Or people that say follow your passion and the money will follow. Thats a load of Oprah bullshit. Like a lot the postings, ya gotta work to put food on the table. More often than not,work is a real grind and burn out ensues but ya gotta plug along cuz one needs to survive.

Inside you know what you need to do but change is a hard thing to do. Internal fear stops us from becoming something more. At almost 50 i went back to school with a classful of 20 somethings and graduated at the top of my class and never looked back.

You could always do this part time or take a leave and try something new. If it does not work you can just go back and work till you find what you are looking for. Do not let fear rule you.

When you first got into this I'm sure it wasn't to be a "career" job but rather a means to an end. So what is that ?

Don't know all the details or you that well but there a pros and cons in every profession and with it comes "politics". We all have to deal with it.

You have already been toughened up in this line of work. Not easy doing what you do when dealing with asshats! I admire all you ladies for that while trying to put on a happy face. Don't let this consume your soul. I am sure you will make the right decision. Change is good ...remember that. I would never allow myself to stay in a "toxic" environment. But that's me.
