does anyone bring their own shampoo/body wash?

I never have before, but am not happy with the generic stuff that is available. I don't know if it were to be considered rude or weird to do so. I am not metro-sexual by any means, but do want to smell good for the MPA at the same time feel clean.

From an SP pov, I don't think its weird or rude to bring your own body wash. I agree that generic brands leave much to be desired, when I go to hotels I'll bring my own Dove, so I can relate. If bringing your own brand makes you feel better, enjoy your shower and your session with the lady even more, then do it! After all, its about your pleasure isn't it?
I just started a thread a few days ago asking guys what soap brands they'd prefer to have at incalls (its about customer satisfaction right!) and I got quite a few responses. You may want to read it.

For a while i was bringing my own bar of soap ( ivory which is a staple in our house ) for the very same reasons Night Thunder mentioned,..,.. although the MPA's didn't seem to mind, i found it messy and cumbersome to do so, so i don't anymore,.. I like the travel kit idea

This topic comes up from time to time.
I have one spa that I frequent more often than the rest, so I leave a toiletries kit there. I have my own brand of soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush, deodorant, hairbrush, etc.
When I leave the spa, I smell the way I normally smell so if I'm heading home, no problem.
The girls all know i have a kit there and after their initial giggle, they realize how good an idea it is.
When I lived in Mtl, I did the same thing at my favourite place.

You'd be surprised what guys take into MP's.

Therefore yes, feel free to carry your own soap. I've been doing so for years because I didn't like the smell and even "feel" of the generic stuff either.

I'd suggest a bottle of a soft brand like Nivea, adidas etc. I carry a gym bag in the trunk of my car, and just leave the bottle in a side pocket.

I've had lots of guys walk in with shower bags. As long as they can get away with walking out of their house with a bag, such as to go to the gym or whatever, they can bring it to HFH. Of course, please don't be offended if the lady covers your bag with a towel during the session, it's just a precautionary measure as we've had a few guys try to hide cameras in their bags.

I'll 2nd that! A smart lady will cover your bag.

We have a few guys that leave their fav products here. But we also dont buy generic soap. I always hated it as an MPA, and used to bring my own. So MUSE is always stocked with great body wash, often a few choices too!

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that women have a much better sense of smell than men. See for example, Nelson, Randy J. An Introduction to Behavioral Endocrinology, Second Edition (Sinauer Associates, 2000, ISBN 0878936165), p. 183-187. In their book, Brain Sex, Moir and Jessel reported one experiment in which children's sense of smell was tested. In this experiment the lowest scoring girl had a greater ability to differentiate smells than the highest scoring boy. Most differences in cognitive abilities are much less sharp than this. Almost invariably there will be an overlap between the sexes. Not so in this case. A change in soap or shampoo may be undetectable to most men, but for many if not most women it is immediately apparent, and raises questions in her mind if there is no obvious explanation.

I'm a midnight guy so I take my shower at my own place. When I get there, I take a quick shower. Back home, another shower before going to bed.

I used a bar of Irish Springs soap once and got some suspicious sniffs from the SO when I got home. It was nerve wracking but nothing came of it thankfully.

Just a word of advice, if you are going to bring your own bar of soap don't leave it behind. Nothing more discusting than coming across someone else's soap covered in short and curlies.
