I just ordered some of these, pretty cool. Similar to still point inducer, but you can use it many different ways. I'm going to have them available for clients to buy (I'm pretty new at the whole selling products thing, so I'll let you know how it goes!)
Anyone else try these? or sell these? I'm definately keeping one at home for me :mrgreen:

Looks neat. I always think of these (too late) :roll: when I get a migrane and I feel like there is SO much tighness back there. I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion of these once you get them and start using them!

I am liking it alot. I'm not using it as much as planned in my sessions with my clients - mainly because I have a SUPER extra padded table and it's so squishy that it doesn't offer much resistance for the craniocradle. But I love to use it at home on myself - lying on the floor or my table at home which isn't as soft. I'm also showing them to clients and having them try it on the floor. Something I'm trying out right now - I'm sending them home as a loaner with clients for them to try and see if they like it. If not, they can just bring it back. If they do like it, they can just purchase it next time they're in. (they haven't been back in yet, I will let you know how this approach works out!)

those cranialcradles look great, I have not seen them before and i missed this thread when it was new.

Maybe Stonegirl can give an update on how they are working out. Do you still use it? Are clients still buying them?

I'm still using and selling them. So far I've only had 1 client who didn't like it, and he didn't take it home to try it, he just tried it in the office. Sending it home with them seems to really help.

I saw a Craniocradle vendor display at the AMTA Nation Convention, but did not stop to investigate the odd green cushions I saw there. They didn't seem to be very busy. What is the purpose of the Craniocradle? What do they claim to do? What is your experience of what they actually do?

I think a still point inducer is firmer, but what I like about this product is it's perfectly contoured to be used at the sacrum as well as the base of the skull. And there are several different angles to use it at.

Does it come with lots of info and ideas for use, or is it something we bodyworkers will recognize, but our clients might not, at home on their own? I have one client in particular in mind, who needs the relaxation in both areas, but who would not experiment, but needs everything written out and coming from "the experts".

I'm not versed in cranio work, but I remember some practitioner somewhere telling me you could put two tennis balls in a sock (and maybe tie a knot between them?) and approximate this device. I would think you could also use baseballs if you wanted something really hard. Has anyone tried that?

If you are looking to reproduce the still point inducer, the two tennis balls in a sock works fine. As for the rest of the conditions the CranioCradle claims to treat, the balls in a sock would not do the trick.

It does come with specific instructions with pictures - very user friendly for a client.

I appreciate the response, but that really doesn't provide any useful explanation of what it does/how it works. If it's just a weird-looking squishy cushion to lay on, that's fine, but then the price seems awfully steep for that meager benefit. I am looking for a more specific justification for the cost of this product, hopefully one that also explains the design decisions made in its construction. Their web site is woefully bereft of this information.

Yes, there are situations where the CranioCradle should be used with caution or avoided altogether. Restrictions include, but are not limited to: cranial, face, or spinal trauma, brain stem tumor, acute stroke, intracranial bleeding, inflammatory conditions, blood clots, cardiac conditions, pregnancy, carotid stenosis, thrombosis, venous obstructions and serious circulatory problems.

If you’ve been diagnosed with or are concerned about any of these issues, consult your healthcare professional before using the CranioCradle.
