You are not all alone in the way you feel. I am totally with you and perhaps others as well. Rationally, this hobby is transactional based. We are grown up enough to realize that. But emotionally, it is also a fantasy trip of romance and intimacy. In some part of our mind, our favs are like our proxy girl friends, especially for those of us who are shut out of intimacy in the home front. In a business that deals in intimacy, it's human to react emotionally in some ways. I always remember what a MPA said to me one time. It was my second visit after close to two months from my first visit. She recognized me as soon as she walked into the room. I expressed amazement at her excellent recollection. She said how could one easily forget somebody that one had been intimate with. I think that's a very human statement.
So, I think it's not abnormal to feel like you do but just be sure to remember it's still part of a fantasy trip and nothing more.

I was tring to be 'tactful and civilized' when I used the term "other woman".

You seem so aggrieved and some might say scornful of civility. Not much room for understanding outside of the "room" I guess.

Last time that I saw my favourite MPA, she was saying to me that I "really should see" X and Y MPAs, both of whom work at different spas but had worked with her previously, because I would love them.

But you posted about the problems in your marriage in response to my post about married men visiting MPs. Natural assumption was, that because of my post that you were responding to, that you did so. So you didn't visit MPs when you had problems, but only did so after your marriage problems were erased. So everything is okay now, no problems right?

I was kidding about the 8" (hope you are not too disappointed) but there are studies that indicate the sex drive in most women is very low. Thank goodness for the other 1% that don't think sex is filthy.

MY mistake was thinking somehow she'd change over time, and not INSISTING we have counseling before we got married. NEVER again my friend.

At least I had the financial ability to pick up and leave because I make OK money with NO kids. Other guys I know have "run the numbers" and are stuck financially. Their only options are:

1.) Living without intimacy
2.) Getting a mistress
3.) Using a form of the sex trade (SC/SP/MP)

For somebody who posts on SEX TRADE message boards, you seem to have zero compassion. Just a thought...

Just to clarify. The spasm of guilt I felt when talking to my fave MPA on the phone was the result of knowing this woman for almost 10 years and it wasn't a trip that was laid on me by her, it was really just a bit of good old fashioned white anglo saxon guilt on my part. She knows I see other MPAs, she' not stupid, and we have talked about it in the past. Don't worry folks I'm not paralyzed by it, I'm not going to change my hobbying habits any time soon because of it, I just think it's an emotion that is deeply embedded by the way the way I relate to most people, and her as well, as a real person...as well as a sex object..;-).

These refrains which are commonly told and retold to MPAs and dancers and which have been repeated many, many times to me by these providers simply lack any admission or accpetance of responsibilty by the married man. "My wife....this", "my wife ....that" and "because of my wife...I need to be sexually sated outside of my marriage" simply does not engender much compasson because there is no acceptance of responsibility by the married man, who is the aggrievor and not the aggrievee.

You were able to LEAVE your marriage.....but NOT you're hobbying. And you made it be known that your wife was the cause of you visiting providers. Just this fact alone suggests that there were and are other issues seperate from your former wife as to why you engaged and engage in this hobby.

Let's look in the mirror....and get real.

I've been a regular of one mpa for nearly 3 years now. I have fallen head over heels for her. I feel guilty when I flirty with women at work, I'm a bartender so its expected of me to flirty with women sitting at my bar. Its hard when you fall in love with your mpa.

What I get from reading all these thoughtful posts is that the Truth is in the eye of the beholder. There is truth in every one of these comments, right up to the bucket of cold reality that Tiffany throws on the discussion when she says "I got half a dozen gents like you."

First off, Im defensive here because I_L is one of my all-time favorite people. Humble, kind-spirited, handsome as could be, as a classic gentleman. A lost art in my eyes. And upon knowing him and having discussions about such topics, I know he turned every stone before choosing his next chapter. His hobbying, or anyone elses, is NOT something that starts before a problem at home occurs. IL clearly stated that his wife was not interested in talking/councelling it out. And to reffer to someone as a pervert because of human desire is simply wrong. And THAT IS something 'the wife' does.

And again, dancers, MPA's and SP's are all WOMEN! We know our side! Geeze. Talk about 'look in the mirror'!!! But to hear the side of men all over. Different ages, backgrounds, upbringings, and cultures...considering many have the same story...is it really mass-market-embellishing, or a BIG issue that Oprah herself couldnt tackle.

Obviously there are MANY reasons why a wife/gf/etc stops providing intimacy, but I think too many women lose focus. Yes, being a mom is the most important job in the world, but you arent just a mom. You are a wife, a friend, a lover, a confidant. I'd want my sicko pervert hubby to feel Im a safe place to fall ... and to live out those pervert things with! Not to be shunned and disciplined because of natural fantasy. If you dont maintain the bf/gf side of marriage, all you have is 2 roommates raising kids. (and dont get me started on how that ISNT 'happily married' or the right thing to do 'for the kids'....thats a whole other thread!)

Either way you slice it, a man is a man. And his woman needs to appreciate him, and cultivate the man in him! Not a-sexualize him and leave him a shell of his former self!!!
