According to Craig's List it looks like Absolute have been dropping their prices (at least their basic prices.) I wonder if all the negative feedback from this board had anything to do with it lolll. Does anybody know if this carried on to their options that were well overpriced as well?

I saw the ad on Craig's list with a picture of a black girl who looked nice. I called the number and found out that it was Absolut in Laval. The ad said special prices and looked like a private massage provider...first misleading fact.

I took one for the team and, as usual, I called to make an appointment for 2:30pm last Thursday. I was placed on hold for what seemed like a longer than acceptable time while they tried to find someone who spoke enough english to book the appointment. I'll accept that, but I don't like it. Being considerate, I called to confirm 20 minutes ahead and went over to meet the Brazilian girl from the pictures. I arrived on time only to be told by a young blonde girl that noone will be available for 10 minutes. I was asked to leave even though there is a waiting room right there. I felt that it may be a bit more discreet and easier to take if I waited in my own car, made a couple of phone calls and listened to the radio for a while.

15 minutes later, I called again. The girl on the phone, in french tried to make me understand that it will be another 10 - 20 minutes. I protested a bit saying that I would like to know why I am being asked to wait. I booked an appointment, I confirmed, I was asked to sit in my car. I could see my protests were not getting me anywhere so I said OK.

20 minutes later I called again and was told it was OK to come up but now I can only have 30 minutes!! Thalie, the 5'5 Brazilian girl was at the desk. She didn't have any idea who I was or that I had an appointment. She didn't seem to know anything about any "Special Prices". She just said $35. for 30 minutes. At this point I wanted to get on with it and said OK.

Thalie never once smiled or made any attempt to make me feel comfortable. I am very conscientious about hygene and never come to one of these places unless I am well groomed and wearing some calogne. Nevertheless she looked at me and said that I must take a shower. Again, I didn't question this although in my mind I'm thinking I was going to take a shower anyways. In fact when I booked, I had asked if they did have showers in the rooms (they do). I was also thinking, hey wait a minute!!! Should they be insisting that I take only 30 minutes and waste 10 of that in the shower?? Are they going to start the clock on me right away??

So I showered, dried off and Thalie returned to the room. She barely got past Hello and started in on the price list. I didn't know that it was a self-serve-pump station. I just found that out once I read this thread. I never would have even called if I knew. Even so... She says "For $60 I stay clothed!!! for $80 I go topless and for $100 I can do Thai"!!!

I said hey wait...$100 for Thai..(again I thought that this was a real Thai, not a self-serve) I don't ever pay that amount especially for 30 minutes. She says it's the price regardless of for how long. I'm thinking ...good to know, next time I'll ask for 3 hours for the same price! Now we get into it!! Hey wait...why did I bother to make an appointment when someone else used 30 minutes of my time and now I am asked to pay as if I was here for the full hour? She says he arrived late. NOW I'M GETTING PISSED. "You mean that he came late and you didn't hustle him out like you plan to do to me? Are you leaving right after me or do you have another appointment? I asked. Thalie said," I have another appointment coming in". I say "What makes the next guy so much more important than I am? Why don't you tell him to wait in the car? And while were asking questions...What do you mean I have to pay you $60 to keep your clothes on...?? She calmly just says that's the price, it includes a hand-job and noone told her that I had an appointment.

Here's the real embarrasing part. I'm so desperately horny and ... frankly, Thalie looks a bit young but smokin' hot. Cute face, slim, not much boob but I've never been overly fussy about that. I'd take a small handful over a big saggy under-inflated pair anytime. I actually agree to pay the $60 and lay down on the table.

Thalie starts stroking my calves and in that moment I do the math. $35 for the massage plus $60 and normally a tip for a simple, quick hand-job. I say "Know what, I want to cancel!!!" There's no way I want to pay $100 (in round numbers) for this. I don't like the way I was treated and I think that your "Special Prices" are a rip-off".

Thalie agreed to refund the fee and 15 minutes later she arrived with the cash. I left without another word vowing to write this letter. I called to see if I could book with Julie from the Mirror on the last minute but no luck. I would have been far better off with her service.

I promise I will never return to Absolut. I thought that it was rediculous and very irresponsible the way they treated me as a client.

I was disappointed with Thalie too for her dispassionate persona. You have to be a lot more accomodating and understanding to your clients if you want them to come back, even if you can't help them with what they want right away. At least say the usual bull of "I'll make it up to you" or "Stay with me, I promise you will be happy you did". For sure I'd fall for that crap...I always do. I live for that. I don't get that at home!!!

In closing, I'd give Absolut an absolute zero!

It's on my personal boycott list.

Went to see Taya based on her pictures on the web. Assumed she was Asian, based on her name but she is 100% Quebecois. Took 1 hour for $50.

For those who like slim, petite body types, she is perfect. Was offered multiple options starting at $40 for a HJ (!) up to $100 for a nude Thai. I find this expensive, especially the base price. Ended up taking a Thai with bottom on for $80 since that's all I had. Overall pretty good but her attractiveness didn't make up for the high cost.

I asked her if she gets a piece of the entrance fee and she says no. That explains the high priced options. I also asked what would happen if I declined any options and she said she would end the massage and return my money.

I haven't been to Absolut since the Alicia days and based on my recent experience, it's not worth returning to.

Are these high costs because you took an hour session? Would these be the same prices for a 30 minute session?

I know in Toronto the girls double up the costs when you take 1 hour vs. 30 minutes. Is that the case in Montreal as well?

The issue is that they don't pay the girls so all options start at $40 whereas most places start at $20.

They also have the nerve to charge the same prices as other massage places where the girls are paid (per massage or per hour).

This is a greedy place after a quick buck.

As for doubling the prices for an hour vs half hour, I've never encountered this in Montreal. If I did, I would refuse all options and see what happens. If you read my post, you'll see that in the Absolut case, Taya would have ended the massage and returned my money. Pathetic...
