Yep.. the place was sold for $60k just before the Pandemic . Covid shut down kicked in before closing the deal and the deal fell through. The two partners were struggling to find girls willing to work after the shut down was over, so they decided to close down temporarily and finally decided to sell after someone came knocking the doors with decent offer.
The new owners didn't get it that cheap though. about 40 % less than the previously sold price. Good location, ample parking and lots of existing clients, so it still is a very good deal. The two new owners, one has some good experience in managing a very busy spa even though they have never owned one before. So I am pretty sure they will do well so long as the second wave stays away from us and the vaccines kick in sooner.

What do you get for 60k? License would be only thing of any value no? Don't understand you're referencing the location, parking and clients...it's not like the 60 k is getting you those things.

The value of the spa goes by location, parking spaces, amount of rooms, the rent and most importantly the good will of existing clientele. No matter how crappy the spa is inside, if they are busy, they can sell it with very good money. Moonlight was a good example. Everyone knows it was a crappy spa inside but still fetch very good money bcuz it has avg 20-25 customers a day.

Holistic license in Markham has no value. All you get is the equipment inside, a possible good lease rate if you are taking it over, and any goodwill in the form of existing client base.

Looks 2me like girls a bit faster than clients... & sure, popular girls= busy... u can actually catch them as walk-in !

Yes, the spa has a different name/sign now. I've not been but apparently it's only open Weds thru Sundays. Not sure what level of service is being provided. When I went several years ago, I went for a RMT massage and that's all I got.
