Just texted an mpa who works at a holistic spa who I've known for a long time. It's south of Steeles. She says no problem with the communal shower. Masks on til in the room, and then business as usual.

Surprisingly they are not required to track their clients incase tracing is required by the city, Majority of places like hair salons and other RMT places are taking their clients name and number for this very reason. Ofcourse you can use a fake name or number probably, but if they spa isn't taking these measures, be wary!

Your entire post makes absolutely no sense. You basically admit the entire task is pointless as most would give false info in a rub n tug anyway. Yet at the same time say to "be weary' when places don't follow this pointless practice. By the way it's reccomended by the city, not required. The government cannot mandate the collection of personal information of private business.

The "well being" of the whole may have priority over individual rights. Governments retain the right to impose rules under the guise of national security as a for instance.

The collection of phone numbers ( not using fake numbers ) may be the way the spa is in compliance with a government order.

Where are you getting your info from? It's been my understanding that anti bacterial soap kills the virus within seconds, which is why we have been washing our hands religiously the past few months.

Well bacteria aren't viruses, so by definition that's wrong. Soap breaks down fat and coronavirii have a fatty outer layer; using an antibacterial soap is not helpful in this context and there is no advice to that effect.

Soap doesn't kill the virus, BUT it removes it. You would think this is the first time we've dealt with this issue.
