There are some women that won't see a guy w/o references from others. I can totally respect that but am wondering where I should start.

I've got some time available this weekend and am willing to travel around the Metro Detroit Area. Anyone willing to help me build up my "resume"?

References are BS. Some providers toss this out as being for their "safety" but what about ours, the hobbyists? We're also asked to divulge personal information about ourselves, yet we never get anything remotely the same in return. It's time for us hobbyists to take this hobby back. There are plenty of ladies around that could care less about who you are and whom you've seen. We start ignoring those that want references and/or personal information they’ll change their tune. An SP wouldn’t be in business if she didn’t have clients.

How many hobbiests do you hear about being beaten and left for dead? Many of the SPs have children and families at risk as well as the hobbiest. All of these things should be taken into consideration on both sides.
Think of it this way, If we don't get a little bit of info from you, LE will get a lot more info when they drag you down to the station.
Of course, this is just my opinion.

You may want to rephrase that last post. Sounds very confrontational, mentioning LE. I don't think thats how you meant it, but it would scare me away.

I really didn't mean to be confrontational, I broke my "take a deep breath and count to 10" rule. I have seen posts like this before and it astonishes me how SOME (not all) of the hobbiests get offended if the SPs want to protect themselves. The hobby wouldn't exist without both parties, and I feel there should be mutual respect for each others ways to feel secure.
I have had callers who did not want to follow the procedure to make an appointment with me. I simply tell them that it's too bad we can't do business, have a nice day. On the other hand I have had many callers who have had not a problem with the program, and some who really appreciate it.
If it doesn't work out, get over it and move on.

I'm still kind of trying to figure out the procedure and the rates to see Tracy. She certainly is a looker, but there's too many intermediaries! (that's not a flame by the way)

Well, Tracey ... from your post it sounds like you are keeping records on your clients and that's not good. Several years ago, there was a house, I think in Ferndale or Royal Oak, that got raided by LE. In that house was a list of clients, with names and phone numbers ..... well that list destroyed some lives. None of those clients went to jail, the madam did.

I believe that some SP's keep records, Hiedi Fliess did. Didn't bother Charlie Sheen!

Well, 2 weeks later and way off topic...

The original post here was about impossiblefunky looking for references. Now he's got a start.
Ladies: If this gentleman calls you, I would highly recommend you take the appointment. Michael is a very wonderful, kind, and gentle man. Because he was so sweet, Jim has given him V.I.P. status at United Media. This normally takes 3 to 5 appointments to achieve.

Ok... I'm a newbie... only been in the hobby for about 3 months now.

Scorps is the board I started on... now that I have my website I'm branching out to other places. I'm a little confused as to what you mean. From what I've seen there's no set way that things are done on Scorps. Or maybe I'm missing something there... lol... that's entirely possible.

For myself, I know that I'm far more comfortable meeting someone if we've chatted.... on-line, or on the phone, or something like that.

I have accepted dates that call up for a last-minute thing... and it always scares the crap out of me. Not knowing who this guy is... what he wants... not knowing if I'm going to end up with a psycho or a cop.

*shrug* Who knows... this hobby is risky for all involved... we just decide that the rewards outweigh the risks... or we leave.
