I used Shirley a lot when she was at 2626 Yonge and then later at 4910 Yonge when she ran her own gig. She was a lot of fun and not a clock watcher and would accommodate client hours ( stayed later, etc ) . When she moved to Sun Spa at O'Connor and became an employee everything changed. She only does 30 minutes, will not take appointments and works her hours daily then shuts the place down and goes home. She never answers the phone while with a client which is good but never returns calls since she has been at Sun Spa.
When she moved to Sun Spa I saw her maybe 3-4 times then gave up. She would never answer her phone but would also never return calls. A couple years ago I thought I would give her another try but could never get her to call back. One time someone did pick up they insisted they were Shirley but her English wasn't the greatest and I knew it was not her. I just guessed she had moved on. When I saw farmerstan's post I thought I would give the number a call. As usual, no one picked up and it did not go to voicemail, however, I received a call back 5 minutes later from Shirley who saw my number and remembered my name. She seemed as bubbly as before but when I tried to book an appointment she reminded me again she only did 30 minutes and does not take appointments. She said I had to just show up and if she was busy I would have to wait.
She works at O'Connor by herself and when she is with a client she does not only switch off her phone but she locks the front door so if you come when she is busy, no amount of knocking will get her attention. You either wait or go somewhere else.
