NHL Hockey starts tonight

Next up is the rematch of last spring's playoff opponent, the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.
I predict a 5-4 OT Leafs win.

Leafs beat Washington tonight. We are now 5-1. Shutout Ovechkin. I would be shocked if we don't win the cup in the next 3 years. Matthews changes everything because he is such an amazing talent, he makes everyone around him better.

I don't know which dream outcome will happen first:

a) Angela and I finally get married

OR

b) The Leafs win the Stanley Cup

The Stanley Cup could be won by us this year.

What happened to the Leafs all of a sudden? Is it back to the same old story, or are they relying on Austin Matthews too much? I know he's a great player, but it's a team game.

Marner isn't playing well as he did last year.

And they need a top level goalie, no matter what.

They will be fine. At least 45 wins, a playoff birth and auston will take them to the 2nd or 3rd round this year. Stanley Cup will come our way once we get a better goalie.

They gave up a lot to get Anderson. I don't think they'll give up on him soon. I think it's time to bring Calvin Pickard on board. A little more competition for Anderson won't hurt.

Eric Lindros. He was the best for about 7 years straight.

Turn the volume to mute, but watch his skill.

I saw him play in junior. Already the hype... junior players are goons when they're out-talented. He took a lot of abuse.

Eric sponsors a corporate team tournament in Whitby every year for Easter seals.
Every team is assigned a NHL alumni player.
This year my friends team was assigned Rick Vaive. Hockey is pretty good quality.

Eric was the best all-around hockey player the game ever saw.

No one could skate, shoot, stick handle, body check and fight like he could. He was absolutely dominant during his peak.

If you meet him, tell him Ursus said 'You were the best Eric.'

Eric, near the end of his career, on a line with Tie Domi, and only playing limited minutes, still scored 22 points in 33 games for the leafs. I never saw him play in person. One of my regrets in life. I saw Gretzky play, but never Lindros. On TV I obviously saw Eric's magic, but not live.

I have to go see Mathews play. I have to.

They will easily attract more good free agents like Marleau because they are good. And who wouldn't want to win a cup in TO?

It wasn't that long ago that I used to watch Marner on the Don Mills Flyers of the GTHL. He was always a talent.
And Babcock is such a good coach, D.J, Smith is a great addition from the 2015 Memorial cup champs Oshawa Generals.

Yes I remember Lindros kicked it up a bit for the Leafs when Sundin was on the injury list. It's too bad Lindros' career was cut short by concussions.

Yes, DJ Smith on Oshawa Generals as a coach, but played for Windsor Spitfires. Also played a few games for the Leafs.

Folks, the Leafs win back to back against the Bruins this weekend, without Matthews. It shows how talented and deep this team is. Go Leafs Go!

Matthews is a better player than McDavid. McDavid, in his 2nd year, scored 30 goals. Matthews, in his rookie year, scored 40 goals.

Matthews has scored 2 goals last night against the Canadiens, in his first game back from injury. He now has 12 goals in 17 games this season. He is on pace for 55. The sky's the limit for this guy.
