Had a few tests after my trips to Thailand, but none after my 2 last trips, so will be testing me soon as I've seen what hiv can do with a guy close up.
Albeit I haven't had any unprotected sex since my last test, I'm a little scared.
My best mate testet positive earlier this year. Not only tested he positive, he had cd4 count way below what they define as AIDS. Well, the medicine has done him good, but he is still in the AIDS definition. And, he has never been to Thailand or had unprotected sex abroad Norway. So bad luck there...his gf the last 2 years tested negative...figure out that. :erf:

Well my point, better catch the HIV early before cd4 count drops too much.

Of course, he's been retested? Sometimes the tests are in error, you know.

But assuming he had retested postiive, then he caught it somewhere. Who was he having unprotected sex with, besides his GF? You know, there are guys who sneak around behind their GF's back and have sex with other men or with ladyboys, and even their best friend would never know about it. You have to wonder about that, given what you have said about him. Of course, he could have caught it off a Norwegian wh0re, too. But he caught it from someone.

Everyone who has been to LOS and slept with BG's at one time or another has had unprotected sex if that's the case at least one or more BM's should be infected with HIV type E.

Most when we return will get an HIV test and to date I don't know anyone who's tested positive, so something is wrong either in the testing or the information.

Yes , I guess you know more about the subject than I do !!! The 20 years I have spent working in hospitals has been a waste of time , all I need do to learn about medicine is to look at your posts (and read cult propaganda !!!).

yes been retested...also virus count...had record high, millions per ml. But since it has developed already into AIDS, he was probably infected years back...younger than me too, so sad.

Got my results back today and it was negative.

From what I have read the last week is pretty much, if you detect the HIV early, you should be able to live a rather normal life with almost as high life expectancy as anyone else. With proper medication that is.

Im not saying HIV isnt a big deal tho, it is.

yes he had developed AIDS and all the complications of that. He was sick a year or so before he got tested for HIV. They didnt expect HIV as his gf had been tested a year before when she aborted.

He is better, but the medicine is hard on the body.

Working in major "Teaching Hospitals" , and assisting with research for medical schools (attached to Universities) have given me more than 'a clue' about how "medical research" is carried out.

I'm not a nurse or a security guard .:

I have actually spent 25 years working in various hospitals , both in the U.K and overseas . I SHOULD KNOW BETTER ...........and get a real job with normal working hours and a decent wage but for some strange reason I like the "responsibility" I have to ensure "the wellbeing" of the patients I deal with everyday.

Perhaps that is why I take exception to people who make inaccurate or misleading posts about medical matters which could have serious effects on people's lives.
