So what does he do? He goes out and gets the AZ shot instead of Pfizer or Moderna. Then he gets the second dose of AZ when everyone else is going Pfizer or Moderna . Did he die or get the blood clots that he says everyone will get? No. . Does he change his mind on the safety of the vaccines? No, he doubles and triples down on the propaganda even though nothing bad happened to him. He’s like: “it’s coming, it’s going to happen and be bad. Just wait and see”

The problem with this analysis is that they are using incomplete data. More than 50% of the people in the ICU have no vaccination status listed. Furthermore, governments lie. They lie all the time. Particularly when it comes to health care.

Their case positivity rate is 0.1%. They currently have 503 people in the hospital and have suffered 970 deaths since March 2020. This in a country with a population of about 25 million. Do these statistics really necessitate the strict lockdown restrictions Australian people are facing? It begs the question is this really about health or is it about power and control?

It's true Covid skews dramatically older. I've made a number of similar posts pointing out how covid overwhelmingly effects older rather than younger people to help people understand Ursus' relentless questioning of why hookers are not dying.

And yes it's incredibly common for those getting very sick and dying to have other co-morbidities. But year over year deaths are dramatically up. Significant number of people really are dying from covid, straight up. And the problem is that even if you believe you are relatively safe yourself, perhaps because you're younger, not obese and don't have any health conditions you can still spread it. Having a disease prevalent throughout society due to large numbers of unvaccinated puts the vulnerable more at risk.

If it's a health problem for anyone it becomes a problem for all of us if the disease makes it much more difficult for everyone to work, socialize, travel, etc. etc. The article shows how massively effective the vaccines are... from last week right here were we live in Ontario the unvaccinated were 9 times more likely to catch covid, 19 times more likely to end up in the hospital, and 70 times more likely to end up in the ICU.

So if we shouldn't be vaccinating everyone then what should be doing instead?

I get where you are going. I would like to point out two things though: 1) If the vaccines are so effective then why should it matter as the ones who are vaccinated are now protected? 2) It has been reported that vaccinated people can also transmit the virus to others (I believe it was the CDC who admitted this). If this is the case and the vaccines do not protect you then I think we have a bigger problem.

I think Covid is here to stay, it is never going away. We are going to have to learn to live with it and in doing so I think we really need to come up with some good ideas on how to protect the most vulnerable and I am not convinced the vaccine is going to do it.

When they first came out, both Pfizer and Moderna had more than 90% efficacy, AZ had lower efficacy and it wasn’t even approved in the US when it was available in Canada. All the blood clot issues were with AZ.

Because when of millions of people are still unprotected then the virus can still cause enormous problems for society as a whole, regardless of your own personal health.

Again this is a mathematical misunderstanding. Vaccines don't offer 100% protection. People who are fully vaccinated get infected at a massively lower rate than unvaccinated people. That is what the statistics show.

You can't pass on the virus if you don't get infected, and you have a massively less likely chance of becoming infected if you vaccinate.

If you are unfortunate enough to be fully vaccinated and still acquire covid, it does appear that this small group of infected people can pass on the virus, but those people are enormously less likely to be hospitalized or end up in the ICU
