Disappointed @ Tiffany's

Last week I saw that Tiffany's was advertising a special on massageplanet.net, 1/2 hr rate ($50) for 1 hr. I was going to be in the area and decided that I'd check it out even tho' I couldn't find any reviews when searching "Tiffany's" or "Tiffany's spa". The location was good in that it was upstairs in an industrial area (not worried about prying eyes) and the amenities in the spa were nice...shower in the room, lots of towels, clean. I was set-up with an attendant (sorry, I forget her name) who was petite, blonde, about 33yo, EE, just over 5 ft with naturals and a landing strip. I said I'd like the special of $50 for 1hr and she immediately made faces and started sucking wind thro' her teeth. She told me the tipping was DOUBLE for that special.
I didn't listen to all the BS explanation and double talk, I just went with her suggestion of sticking to the $50 for 1/2 hr (eg. NOT THE SPECIAL). I would have chalked it all up to TGTBT and taken the experience for what it was worth, however, the massage was useless (I was more sore when I left than when I went in) and the NR option was really very uninspired with no significant tease and just a basic, boring release.
So, I felt wripped off for being enticed with a 1hr deal that the attendant didn't recognize and for a NR that was really poor.
Cost: 1/2 hr for $50, NR for $80, total $130.
Would I repeat? Not a chance! If I'm going for uninspired, I can get a 1/2 hr with an SP for $100-$120 (a VIP for $160) and that would probably include a better massage!

ok I dont work at this place, nor do I know their prices and practices...but....

it makes perfect sense that the tip would be double hun! I would assume any special advertised (massageplanet.net or otherwise) would only be on the door fee! All hour sessions are double the tip! Now you did say it was uninspired, so fine...but dont confuse a spa discounting and a girl discounting!!! oh and not many SP's would bother with a 1/2 hr, and an decent MP will run you 200/hr give or take! You weren't ripped off, you were under-serviced and misinformed by the sounds of it!

Exactly. It's the SPA giving the discount, not the MPA...they still have to put food on the table brah!

Stick to the well-reviewed attendents and you will never be let down...speaking of which...I have a boner right now I wonder where I shoudl go....

I agree MPAsquared.

As a disappointed client, I won't return there.

However, my point about expecting a good massage and a good tease before the release is why I used to like MP's. I would bet that my brothers here feel the same. If I'm not able to get that at an MP, I believe there are many SP's that do offer a 1/2hr for $120 and 1hr for $160-200. If you're telling me that MPA's expect the same rates, well...

Of all the circular double talk, that just takes the cake.

I have never paid double tips for a 1 hr booking. MPAs work on client volume (only so many ppl per day walk thru the door). If their client books the hour then thats already a bonus for the MPA. They should treat their 1 hour clients accordingly. And if they offer a special to bringmore through the door then they should not impose a penalty for accepting the offer.

Hypothetical here:

30mins @ Spa XYZ - BS session 40door fee 80 tip. 120total

60mins @ Spa XYZ - BS session 80door fee 160 tip. 240 total

if Spa XYZ offers a 1/2 price 1hour session it would be $40 door fee but still 160 for the girl!!!!



Where are you going that a girl is extatic to make no money for the 2nd half hour??

I go to the MPA's that offer only one release. Whether I pay $40 or $50 or $80 or $100 door fee -- that just determines the length of time I spend on the table getting rubbed 20, 30, 45, or 60 mins.
The tip is for the release part after the rub at the end of the session which doesn't change in duration or effort. If the hour included FS and MSOG and other SP type actions throughout - which MPs don't offer -- then I would consider doubling the tip for a one hour session.



...wait a sec.... Is that why you double the tip for an hour?

we arent talking about just a rub and a tug...we are talking 30/45/60mins sessions that are N/NR/BS sessions....fuck ya the tip doubles....Just cuz MP's dont offer FS doesnt mean its dull and boring! And MSOG are entirely possible if you ask nicely. UGH! Open up your mind ... MP's are about creativity and 'the art of almost' ... the build up, the tease, the what if, etc!

I honestly don't remember the price structure, but SRM has the tip rate posted according to the service AND the time in the room.
I know a 40 minute BS is a $100 tip. I think a 30 minute BS may be $80.
There is always a correlation between time in room and tip. Just not sure how exact it is. If this wasn't the case, wouldn't we all book 2 hour body slides and just tip $100? I wish....
