disappointed by Amy's Therapy

I have been to Amy's several times whenever I get into the city. She has always greeted me with a smile and a hug and provided exceptional service. I haven't noticed any decline in her service in fact, she's getting better every time and seems genuinly concerned about my well being when I visit.

I agree with the positive reviews. I went to Amy's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. She seems like a genuinely kind and caring lady, actually gave me an extra 10 minutes gratis even though she had another customer in an adjacent room waiting for acupuncture treatment.

Her facility is very clean and welcoming. Also, it's an internal location in an office building (first floor) so you don't enter from the street and thus risk being seen by your boss or grandmother!

If you want an RMT quality massage I recommend Amy highly.

Are there shower facilities on site?

Like most of the Asian Holistic studios it does come
with shower which is outside the room.

However in Amy's place you can be assured of significantly
cleaner facilities and more privacy when it comes to taking
the shower. Put it this way I felt much cleaner and fresher walking
out of her place than a typical Asian MP.

I must say it has been more than a year since my last visit to
Amy. But I don't see why her place is now any different than
it used to be maybe except the additional staff.

Nope. Amy does not have a RMT license #...She gives you RMT type of massage. Don't be confused. However, she can give you an accupunture receipt because she provides accupunture type of services as well. But you'll need to confim your benefit plan includes accupunture and for all that trouble to save few bucks, I always opt for cash instead.

My benefit plan includes acupuncture coverage and although I received massage I submitted her acupuncture receipt.

It was accepted by my insurance company no problem.

I have seen her a few times and service was fine. However recently when paying I only had twenties and knowing the rate of the service I should have gotten 15 in change. I paid expecting change and nothing came back she just kept on saying, no problem its okay. She decided to keep the fifteen, I don't mind tipping but let me decide the tip after the change is returned. This put me off from seeing her again. For me I have a long drive to see her, she isn't eye candy and now she pulls the practice of not returning change. Her massages are good but I will search out the west end for an alternate place to visit. I can't understand how she thinks keeping the change is worth losing repeat business over. It wasn't a misunderstanding as I told her I only had twenties and not a five to make the payment exact.
So if anyone knows of an Asian place that does a good massage and PM massage in the west end let me know.

Amy and Shirley of Chang's are certainly getting a little long on the tooth. It's unfortunate that there are no new up and comers that are ready to assume the throne. There is no doubt that when Shirley and Amy were on their A game. They were the best bar none. Now, I believe that most of their regulars are just clinging to the memories hopping to get some of the magic of the past. Sorry to say, but I think its time for these two legends to retire and some one else to move in where they left off.

Yea Shirley was off my list several years ago as her customers service went down hill even with repeat visits. Amy tried when she opened her place but I guess things aren't going well if she is now deciding to keep the change. Like you said they were good in their day.

I've been a regular of Amy's and have always enjoyed the service she provides. I have not found that her service is lagging in any way lately and will continue to see her as long as the service remains as enjoyable as the past.

Amy definitely will help with your sore shoulder and back...she does give an excellent massage. The detractors are concerned that she is not young eye candy and offers a straight forward professional quality massage without the alphabet soup of extras NR, BS etc. Clean facilities, good massage...go and find out for yourself and write a review....

After almost a year away, I returned to see Amy.

She seemed very glad to see me, and she has a nice new hair style, which I found attractive. Her English is also significantly better.

I found her massage skills to be on par, or even better than before. Her "soft massage" skills were also the same (excellent), or better.

I left feeling very relaxed and satisfied.

Guys.....everyone keeps asking on here about RMT massages with a finish. Amy provides this.....but she is just not "eye candy", or is into "the sexy stuff", as she calls it. That's not who she is. Please respect that, and go for a great massage.
