Case study - hot flush

Hi

I am just starting my case studies and while doing one of the girls yesterday I had a hot flush during the treatment. It was very strange feeling and then I went really hot and bright red. has this happened to anyone else and if so any idea what it is or could be related to.

Well, can't diagnose obviously, so perhaps just some questions to think about. Is this the first time ever? Is your menstrual cycle (assuming you are female, lOl) regular? Was it very hot? Were you anxious or nervous? Flustered? Did it whoose up from nowhere, or did it creep? Were you clammy or faint afterwards? Was your heart racing? I would have thought it might be about waiting to see if it happends again. Others may say it was something at an energetic level you picked up from your client? What were her issues?

Her issues were fertility - which I have problems with as well.

It wasn't a bad feeling - in fact it was quiet nice kind of a rush.

That is interesting then. Perhaps some hormonal shift you were picking up from her? My own hot flushes are sadly less interesting, and age-related ;-)

I tend to agree that maybe you were picking up something from one of the clients - did you notice which reflex you were working on at the time. If it happens again do some conscious breaths, breathing in through the nose for three hold for three and breath out for three.

Hi, I've had a similar experience. Client came in who was feeling very hot. During the 15 mins taster session I started to feel very hot and by the end I was sweating! Client commented that she felt nice and cool at the end of session. I believe I picked up her energies. I've also had an experience with a depressive client. After treatment I felt like walking under a bus. Since then I protect myself before doing treatments.

How do you protect yourself?

I've not experienced hot flushes but I have one client who 'makes me' feel absolutely exhausted when I'm treating her. It doesn't matter what time of day I treat her, what I've been doing before or what's going on for me .. I always feel so tired even 15 minutes into the treatment.

I believe she is quite depressed, although she doesn't fully acknowledge this, and is run down and over-worked. She will not allow herself to fully relax during treatments although she definitely benefits from them.

I've tried to protect myself by imagining myself in a bubble before treatments but haven't successfully managed to do this yet. Looking forward to reading the other responses to this!

I think, it is so important to protect yourself before giving any treatment,when I started my case studies I could only do one treatment per day and even at that I would be totally drained,and always cold and quite irritable.I also had a client who was suffering from depression and I would have to lie down after giving a treatment.Now that my clients are showing less in way of their original symptoms and I making sure that I am protected I find I am full of life after they leave.However,today I had a case study,who has now had her 3rd. treatment,and I just went totally dizzy,ears ringing,I did my protection and then my client who was very chatty just said she felt dazed and wanted to sleep,she dozed off and I got a surge of energy,when she awoke she thought she had been asleep for ages,only about 5 minutesSo, I think if we find we are picking up anything during the treatment we should continue to protect ourselves.I should add that this client has alot of supressed grief and has some nervous system disorders.
