500 baht bar fine bars

I was taken back by Jaggers Bar in Tiger which was very expensive compared to the other bars. The BF was 550 THB... LD 230.

Nothing beats Secrets in Pattaya who charge 1000 THB BF before midnight for the Coyote dancers!

Sure does because we have the situation now where the bar fine is just about the same as some ST costs...the 2 BGs I'm referring to in the original post happily come ST during the daytime for 500baht each...together sometimes

The idea of giving someone 500baht for the "privilege" of taking a girl away from a bar just doesn't appeal anymore!

agree....1 k before midnite.....its a very expensive bf.....600 after midnite......but all of the coyottes are more or less barfined by midnite..it fcuking amazes me..guys do pay the 1k bf.....

Agreed. Never paid more than 300 B Barfine in Patong, and likely a smaller increase wouldn't seem as strange perhaps, but to raise to 500 in one go?

Likely this here Judge will still sit in November at a soi Eric Bar, look through sambuca/tiger-tinted glasses at cute BG and think "Well, what the f**k, what is another 200 B?"

I agree to an extent that a night out in LOS can equate financially to some Western night outs but, and this is th clincher for LOS, nowhere else can you have a night out that equates plasure-wise!

Like everyoe else I do worry that LOS is pricing itself out of the market though.

go to Soi Eric and Gonzo or the other sois for beer that
cost 80-120bth same fun play game and talk with ladies.
Then i go for a FL-lady outside Tiger for 500bth LT.

Asians are definetly big spenders. You don't see them much around beer bars or discos. Usually they go for "higher class establishments" like Cristine massage or cocktail lounges in Phuket town...
I guess that they are not so much in "conquering" a female as in our western culture, instead asians here in vacation are more down on sex-business and instead of romantic-like performance on bed they prefer a kind of "down to sadomaso service. Long timers here should agree with it.

Funny thing about Jagger bar is when I brought my own girl and one of the receipts charged me lady drink rate for her. We called them on it and fixed the mistake.

I charge 200 baht for barfine but I think 300 baht is more common, as I said in another thread when you said this last time. Not every bar charges 500 baht.

I dont agree with that, as long I make my living I dont want to charge more. I still charge 200 baht barfine, 120 baht for most spirits/whiskey and 100 baht for vodka or gin. I know I am among the cheaper ones in Soi Eric but I have no intention to charge more, even if I know I can get away with it.

But if my lease made me loose money then I had been forced to increase my prices.

Several months ago I would agree about the looks of a lot of the coyotees, but the last several times ive been there + looking at Secrets party photos I was reminded more of a bargirls retirement home....A lot of the top shelf girls I liked have left for pastures new. Personally I think if you spend time in a bar buying drinks and lady drinks. Why is thier even a BF??? The girl has done her job in keeping the customer there and the owner has made money. Is that not her job? And why owners have girls in their bar? To get customers to come in and drink.

In four years in Thailand I may have paid a half dozen BFs. Like someone said meet them later. Most are all willing to do that.

LT and ST prices.... Paying these 2000-5000k prices really screws up the prices by paying those amounts. Eventually all the girls want it and worse thinking they deserve it. Supply and demand I always tell them when it comes to negotiating the business deal. Which is what it is. There another 10 waiting 2 meters away.

Call me Cheap Charlie if you wish....

And please don't compare Hua Hin to Phuket. Not even close to being the same.

I think 300 baht is the most common bf in Patong, still. But some bars have raised to 500 baht.

I'm with Nicke on this.
Its not like greedy barowners get rich from extorting their customers.. The optimal business for some soi owners now seems to be:
If the bars make money - push the prices and take as much as possible of that profit.. Preferably all of it, theres always another sucker around the corner.. what do we care. Barowners take the risk - soi owners get rich.

The recent developement is not good for anyone. Prices in Tiger more than doubled in 3 years. I dont think theres twice as many punters..
Add to that theres less girls around so many bars also pay salary to the girls now to keep them in the bar, hence - high barfines.
