Sorry to hear about the std. Could you elaborate upon what you meant when you said, "I no longer second guess condoms ..."? I am a bit confused. Were you using a condom when you contracted the std? If you do not mind saying, what type of std was it? Did you have a BBBJ or perform DATY?

i don't know if the brand, Okamoto condoms, can be readily available in your country but this is one of the top selling condoms in Asia.

Besides that brand, my choice would be Durex Fetherlite/Fetherlite Ultima (may be marketed under a different name in different countries).

I got a baker's dozen of these from Condom Depot last week and tried them out in Nuevo Laredo Boystown last weekend. About as close to nothing at all. I had to check a few times to see if it was still there.

I also got some Crown condoms (same Japanese manufacturer as Beyond Seven) and used one of them and it was pretty good. Very close second to Beyond 7.

I'll definitely be buying more of these. Kimono are still my backup since they are pretty readily available in Walgreens for the times I can't wait a few days for mail order.

There is an AMP near me that requires you to bring your own condom. I've seen reports of guys going w/o one (because they were new and didn't know that it was byoc) and the girl would go get saran wrap for the deed. I prefer aluminum foil, myself.

You guys also should give Durex Avanti Bare a try. It's made from polyurethane, alternative to latex.

I believe you instantly feel the difference.


Recommended it to a friend, and he's hooked on em' now... as am I.

HIV and other STDs are much smaller than sperm and so HIV can pass right through lambskin condoms. They're only really effective against pregnancy. I believe they even have that on the label now.

A latex condom can stop the transmission of all the baddies. Like said below the Japanese brands like Kimono, Crown and Beyond Seven are really thin and about as close as you can get. I have a box of about 100 of them on the way to my house from condomdepot.com.

I'm not big on condoms, and will wear whatever the girls give me, and if a condom breaks, I don't cry over it.

Early in my marriage years ago, my wife was having too many babies, three within four years, and she didn't believe in abortions, so I told her, she will have to tie her tubes, or I won't have sex with her any more. I just about looked at her, and she would get pregnant. So in my life I didn't deal too much with condoms unless I was fucking a sex worker,

Now I always hear that if you really want to protect yourself, that you need a latex condom, and those lambskin made condoms have little micrometer holes in them, and the HIV virus can get through.

So is this true, can the AIDS virus get through some condoms?

What are the best thin condoms? I should try them on my next trip. I being meaning to try them, but it's really isn't a big deal with me, as I just hate condoms period, but I still use them, but not 100% of the time like I should.

"Beyond Seven" are utlra thin and great-feeling and I probably won't ever use any ohter brand since discovering these.

I can't remember their web address just do a google search to find their website.

I use Kimono which are very thin and available at most Walgreens. Feels pretty good for being wrapped up. Much better than most house condoms you'll get. A backup is the ultra thin from Durex or ultrathin Lifestyles. I almost picked up a box of the Trojan Ecstasy last time I was in the shop but it is probably more marketing than reality in the claim it feels like you're not wearing one.

I've heard very good things about Crown condoms but since they're only available mailorder and I usually only think about getting them when I'm about 20 minutes away from having sex, I haven't ordered any yet. Maybe I'll do that today.

Anything is better than that silver/rainbow colored thing that seems to be a zona standard.


Specific brand and type would be appreciated, since market is flooded. (ever seen the condom section @ CVS or Walgreen's lately?) Wow so many.
