Newbie Question: re Theft?

Hi,
Been lurking the board for a while and thinking of finally taking a plung into the hobby. I was wondering if theft is a problem in these places, particularly when you go to shower etc.? I would leave most of my valuables at home or in the car, but do I need to worry about excess cash, credit cards etc.?

most of us prefer to use mp's that have showers in the room. However most of us only bring enough money into the mp to pay for the session and thats it.

Never had anything stolen and I've been to many places. It's always wise not to leave valuables lying about.

Most of the credible mp's are safe enough that you shouldn't have to worry about having your valuable stolen, but at the same time don't go out of your way to tempt the girl by leaving 50's dangling out of your pants.
If your really worried about having items stolen then leave everything in the car except your keys and the money you intend to spend. Only drawback is if the session is going well you might not have the funds handy to make things interesting.
Personally ive never had any issue beside the mp's that charge like a $35 or any odd number door fee and not getting the correct change back if i give them like two 20's.

I forgot a $300 pair of sunglasses in the room once, remembered them when I got to my car, ran back in the MP and the attendant was waiting at the front door for me with them in her hand. A refreshing experience. As for having anything stolen from me, never happened to date, but many MPAs have tried on my sunglasses/hats often and some of them won't leave my cell phone alone.

I doubt it. Most mpas count on return visits so any respected mps will not have that problem.

The smart MPAs know better than to rip a client off.
As noted, bring in as little as possible. If showers are outside the room, stick your wallet in the robe pocket.
Someone once posted that he suspected an MPA lifted a little extra cash out of his pants pocket while he was in the shower in the room. Some do come in before your shower is finished and linger. There's also the opportunity for them to lift something if they're straightening up the room if you have a shower after the session. So try to keep your eyes peeled if they're in the room while you're in the shower, or be creative and hide your wallet in your shoe.

20 years, never had a problem with theft from my wallet or pockets.

If I was uneasy, I would take my wallet with me to the shower.

What I find most aggravating is when you are quoted a rate like $30 for half hour, you give the attendant two $20 bills and they don't return the change! Since I would have probably given them the extra $10 in the tip, all I do is get the basic massage, maybe a topless, and never see that attendant again.

I have been to many MP's in the Toronto area over the years, and worried about the same problem. However, from the posts and discussions on the boards here that we have all read, the establishments that are most frequently recommended would be as safe as any environment, inside or outside the MP trade.

I can not see the MPA's there risking the establishment's name, and their own, for the sake of a few extra dollars that we may bring in. There is a steady stream of income flowing into these establishments, and the treatment, candor and respect we receive is reflected.

Common sense should dictate what we all do. If an establishment is seedy, new and/or unknown; the attendants unfamiliar, or the setup easy to take and relocate, then I would hold on to the personal effects much more tightly, however, if you are in an establishment that is well established (pardon the pun), well known, and you are comfortable in otherwise, then sit back and enjoy the experience. That is what we are all there for. How much fun can you be having if you are constantly worried about getting ripped off, instead of just enjoying.

All this is a long winded review, and first post, for my establishment of choice, IT. The girls are friendly, the establishment is clean, well laid out and comfortable, and I have never been disappointed nor uncomfortable. In fact, the operation is run on a very first class level and I would highly recommend to anyone that has not been.

While on business in various cities in the USA, I took some time to sample the local MP scenes. All of them had a zip-lock type plastic baggie. You put all your valuables in the baggie, and take it with you to the showers, then back to the room when you are done. Now in all cases, these were places that offered a table shower with the MP...not sure if that makes a difference. Only problem is while she is giving you a table shower and washing Mr. Happy, you have to remember to bring the bag back to the room. Believe me, by then you are already thinking about other things.

I haven't seen any places here that offer similar services.

Better be safe than sorry - I always take my belongings to the shower and never leave anything out of sight.
