Yes. He made it to 500 goals, 1000 points, and a Stanley Cup, just before retiring. The best way the end his career with those major milestones.

He could've stayed with the Leafs if it wasn't for Harold Ballard trying to break up the team. He couldn't trade Sittler, so he decided to trade away his best friend. It took over a decade to repair the damage Ballard made.

we almost had lindro longer had the GM traded Karble along with several players. Lindro was a cry baby. Had he played for the Nordiques, he probably won the cup with Avalanche.

I think his decision not to play for the Nordiques was political. He didn't want to play for the people that wanted to separate from Canada. He said before he was drafted that he wouldn't play for the Nordiques, but they drafted him anyway. I'm sure he wouldn't have demanded a trade if he knew the Nordiques would end up in Colorado. Nobody can predict the future.

Sundin was another great player that was denied the Stanley Cup because he was traded just before the move to Colorado as well.

I don't remember how the Avalanche got Forsberg. He was great too. His career was cut short because of his foot injuries. Was he the player that the Flyers traded away for Lindros?

Come to think of it, Wendell Clark, the player Sundin was traded for, was also denied the Cup, because he was traded again to the Islanders before the Nordiques moved to Colorado. That's pretty wierd.

His father was the one that was dead set against it. Never let your father act as your agent. I think they viewed it as a dying market. Its all about who could pay him at contract time.

Yes Lindros' father was his agent.
There should be a rule against having family acting as agents.

Marner's and Nylander's fathers also did some interfering with their negotiations of their respective contracts. Dubas was pressured into overpaying them. That should never happen.
