Also a previous thread from the past mentioned some members hate Canola Oil being used on them at XP. Cause it makes their clothes stink or not pleasant. Then what about Sesame Oil? The purpose of using it in cooking is because it's fragrant. So here is Good Energy offering all kinds of oil including sesame and olive oil. wow, you are prepared to be baked.

Next time visiting these spas, ask for them to use the 'deluxe toasted sesame oil'. When you get home and your wife/girlfriend/significant other asks about your unique new body odour, just look at them with wide eyes, and ask "how did you know I just ate a half dozen authentic Montreal bagels coated with sesame seeds, this afternoon? They were sooo good."

I think these cold-pressed and unrefined plant oils are very common as massage oils. Some oils such as the sesame oil maybe a bit heavy and need to be blended with other light oils.

It REALLY surprises me how anyone doing massage could think it's ok to use kitchen cooking oils on people! Shows how very little they care about the client and more about saving a lot of money buying the actual professional stuff. Geez. Smh.

I am no expert on massage oils. However, from what I have read online and my causal discussions with the RMTs I have seen over the years, even the "premium" massage oils are basically blend of different plant seeds oils. Cold-pressed plant oils do not have much odor, and are believed to be better options as spa and massage oils compared with mineral oil. The cooking oils are hot-pressed and therefore come with a stronger odor (or flavor). So perhaps we have some misunderstanding here. Just my 5 cents worth of comment.

Most of them are essential oils except Argan Oil and Jojoba oil. Essential oils can’t be used as massage oil directly, have to blend with carrier oil like some plant oils.

The spa choose to use theses oils, they do care about the client and not for saving money. Actually they are expensive than formula massage oil.

Well, thank you Summerside for responding and defending your spa's use of the oil. I see the article and your diplomatic approach to responding is appreciated. Unlike some other spas that trash and gets negatively defensive, your easy to understand vocabulary and polite replies are noted. When I am near your spa, Good Energy, in Summerside, I will make an appointment and visit. The place looks great, clean and seems like it's relaxing. Offering shower facilities are definitely a plus.
When patrons continue to receive good massages and feel like new after their sessions and you charge market pricing, for sure you will get repeat business.
I will swing by when I am in the area.

Regardless Canadian born or not, some people speak foreign language at home, and then English at school. These Canadian born individuals could have gotten the ESL aspects from always speaking a foreign language at home. I do not think their parents can help them with their English assignments, so generally, their English speaking and writing abilities tend be not consistent with native speakers/writers.
