Hi, Does anyone have creative ideas to place in a tote bag as a give away to new clients?  I have a source for Aromatherapy vials, but need other ideas. Any creative minds out there?

I have a business magnet that I always include.  It looks like our business card, but without the individual info.  It says Licensed Massage Therapists (where we would have our name.  I have people call and request the magnets.  They always have your info, never throw them away, and use them to hold up the pictures on the fridge. I think that there are lots of ideas out there but it depends what you want to spend and how many of these bags you'll need per week.  Dale's idea is great because it keeps your name and number right in front of them all the time.  Water bottles could do the same thing as could calendars printed with your logo.  There are lots of companies that sell "promotional premiums" or giveaway items that you could find on the internet.  I'm sure a google search for promotional premium giveaways will give you a host of ideas.  They usually require a minimum order though but you'd get a good price.  Also, you could go to your local party favor store, that might give you some ideas too.  Or you could go another way and just give new clients one beautiful thing that has a higher perceived value than a bunch of little things that they may not see as great a value.   They would easier to inventory and if you did need to make a minimum purchase, if it was only one thing, it might not be as big a financial investment than inventory on a bunch of things.  I would recommend (but it's only my opinion) that you not give away product that you sell in your space.  It gives the impression that it's not worth purchasing on future visits if you just gave it away originally.  Let us know what you decide and happy shopping!  Joe E.

For give aways, I make my own water bottle label on the computer.  I also shop alot of clearance isles at any store I am in and sometimes I run into some great deals.  You can also make your own magnets by purchasing the magnet paper at an office supply store.

One thing to think about is impression.  What image are you trying to impress on these clients  or potential clients.   Do you want them to think that this is a gimick or think this person is a good business person.  I think the difference in price (printed cards by a print shop vs. cards done on you printer) is not worth the impression it gives your clients.  Same with the magnets done on the computer. (sorry Patricia)  I get 1000 magnets for $102, they look identical to my business cards, they are vinyl and don't run, tear, or come apart.  Another item I did was water bottles.  I shopped around and found some bottles that were on close out.  I got them printed and shipped to me for a total of 29 cents apeice.  That was less then buying bottled water at the warehouse store, and I didn't have to do anything with them except hand them out.  I am just saying think about how the client is going to look at it.  Always err on the side of caution.  And SHOP AROUND.  You can almost always find great deals on what you need.Dale

I use a company in Washington called image souce.   http://www.imagesourceteam.com/   they do great work at real reasonable prices. (no I don't get anything in form of a kickback)  I like to pass on companies that do right by me.  Good luck.

I went on Ebay and bought a gross (144 pieces) of world music CDs which regularly retailed for $16.99.  I won the auction for $75.00 (including shipping), which makes the CDs 52آ¢ each.  I left the $16.99 price eforum.xxxs on (so the client feels like they are getting something of value), and made labels on the computer that have all my info and stuck on the back of the CD.  The music is great, BTW.  I was even able to sample the album at Amazon.com.  There are many similar deals on CDs, from classical to christian to new age.  This happened to be a very large lot, for a great price.I had sport bottles printed at a low price, but to get the low price, I had to buy a large quantity, and the problem therein is finding a place to store them in the meantime!  I won't be doing that again soon...LOL!Another thing that's almost free is one of my favorite ideas:I bought a candy mold in the shape of a hand at: http://www.streichs.com/cgi-bin/streichs/M22.htmlI bought small cellophane wrappers and made address labels on the computer with my contact info, and used chocolate mint flavored meltable chocolate to make the candy.  I place it on the face cradle for the client (like a "mint on the pillow"), and I give them out in other ways, also.The magnets are a good idea... I might like to do that as well.

Traci,I love the chocolates idea!My husband is a chef & they sometimes make lavender or rosemary truffles for special desserts. Just a thought, especially if you're into aromatherapy. Then again, mint is a great EO as well.I can't wait to make & give these!Jill/Sagetherapist

Traci!  Thanks for that great idea.  I love it!  I saved that page and as soon as I can get ahold of my husbands visa I am ordering that mold  Patricia, I do my magnetic business cards off my computer as well and my clients love them!  They look really professional the way I have designed them, even though they are a little "flimsy" which of course would not be the case if you did order them.  I also give a water bottle out after each session with my own label attached.                           Jillian

I have something I'd like to give out, but I can't find them.

Years ago I was given a flat "quarter holder" (imprinted). It holds 8 quarters in a flat polymer type holder which is roughly 2 1/2" (height) x 2 1/2"(width) x 1/4" (depth). I have had it for about 18 years now... and have had many people ask me over the years where they can get one.

If anyone sees one I can get imprinted.... I'd sure be grateful. I can't find any information on where it came from.
