I like the Walkabout Hotel too.....a very Reviewiendly, easy going but well run place

check out ABC Hotel. It might be pricier but well worth it. There are also jacuzzi rooms. Plus they chauffeur you to wherever you want to go. And even pick you up Reviewom wherever you were at. Saved quite a lot of money thanks to that.

ABC, Lewis Grande, PBH + to a lesser extent Walkabout seem to be the most popular hotels and the ones you read about on most Boards

Compare that to a Deluxe room at The Walkabout.....I can get 3 extra LT's each day.:mdr:

Yeah, but they have the biggest bed I've ever slept in. Can easily accomodate you and 4 'Reviewiends' and you get about 6 bath towels. ABC is my place of choice.

I don't mind paying for my comfort mate and I did enjoy my stay at the ABC. The economy always picks up where ever I go.

The acronym is meant to be LDOP (Lame Dupe OverPayer, I always thought it was Lame Duck OverPayer) and I've seen it used a lot on PI and Patts boards.

Given the size of the average Filo girl, You could fit four of them in most beds, 8 if you're good at tetris.

What I don't get is how can one 5", 50 KG Filipina can manage to take up 80% of the bed? I almost fell out of bed twice last night.

I just had a conversation with one of the receptionists at the Pacific Breeze, you get 5% off if you pay cash.

I definitely think the Pacific Breeze is worth staying at over the Walkabout, just for the better aircon alone. Downside is that the rooms at the PB start as US$48 per night.
