What I am saying is the bar is responsible for checking the age of their employees.

Now obviously if I walked out of there with a 10 year old, that would not fly, but if a chica appears old enough and is in a bar, you have no problem.

Hypothetically............your defense would be that because she worked in the bar that she has to be of the correct age? You're saying a bar that has whores that can be rented by the hour is gonna be diligent and follow laws? No bars have underage staff? I wouldn't put my freedom on that. A very flimsy argument that would probably be laughed out of court if it ever came to it.

As far as the pics go........I wouldn't judge. Anything boderline in age, I would avoid. And worst case scenerio, I'd wanna see an ID. Yes, I know it can be fake but it's better to have done all you personally can do verify age than to trust a bar that's out to get your money.

I don't think so at all. First I was not worried as I was not in a room with her and we were going to dinner.

But the bars have regulations and are suppose to check that all employees and all clients are 18. When you are in the bar, you should feel the people around you are of age. If you would have seen the chica, you would have not thought she was that young anyway....

This topic came up on another monger forum recently. Fact is that there are only two Tier 3 countries in the western hemisphere regards human trafficking: Cuba and Dominican Republic.

Tier 3 meaning the gov't of that country is doing nothing to address human trafficking (including child prostitution). Mexico, as a Tier 2 country, is reportedly aware of human trafficking in terms of "pass through", ie, people are being trafficked thru Mx for mostly labor in the US, and in some cases forced prostitution but it is minimal. Child prostitution is hardly mentioned. Tier 2 meaning the country has developed anti human trafficking laws and is doing something minimal to arrest and prosecute traffickers.

I suppose that in the context of US funding of anti-drug efforts in MX that it is feasible that there is some mention of anti human trafficking efforts as well. And MX authorities may have interpreted this to mean to crack down on monger type activities in TJ. But I would think (and hope) that with all the drug cartel violence, cracking down on us lowly mongers would take very low priority.

These morons who are saying this should make a trip to Nuevo Laredo Boystown. Interesting that they go on this crusade just as the number of guys travelling to Mexico for sex is probably as low as it has ever been. I used to go to Mexico all the time but I haven't been in years. Like all wars eventually the drug war will be over. I sure miss Monterrey.

I said no such thing. Seriously.........if a judge truly said that, he has no business being a judge. That is the STUPIDEST logic I have ever heard of from a person who is supposed to be knowledgable.

Exactly... they don't advertise.
If TJ were a paradise, they would openly advertise.

But the people behind this meetings against trafficking say they do.
And no just Tijuana but everyone involved say that Mexico has becomed a sex tourist paradise.

Damn if they are going to make up stories of La Zona.... they are even saying them of Monterrey right now.

I don't know anything about Bangkok....

There are young girls available in our Zona Norte, but for the most part it is not marketed...or if it is it has missed me. I have been offered to buy a BC for $200 over the years...with that you can get your electoral card and then your health card. There are several chicas that have ID that says they are old enough and they will tell you they are.

The bars have young chicas too, but not so many and those chicas don't have health cards....a few clubs get busted from time to time. I've know many chicas that were under age and in the bars sometimes the personnel will tell you. I don't want a reputation for playing with children, but one chica was a really good friend of mine.

She wanted me to take her to dinner, and walking to the car, we got stopped. The officer was telling me I was in big trouble....I asked him what the legal age for dinner is? Anyway I demanded to go to the judge and we did.

Within two minutes the judge said that I was free, that since I met her in a bar, I had to figure she was 18. They brought a doctor in to check her molars...doctor determined she was 18. But the judge was clear...she works in a bar...I can't be charged for a minor...He did not say this, but if I was pimping her then that would be another animal.

Where I would be careful is with walkers....many are 30+ so it is not an issue, but if a chica looks questionable and she is not in a bar or holing up the wall on the side walk I would stay away.

Short story....it exists, but I don't think many people are advertising it. I could be out of the loop on this as I have no interest.

Sampson, I want your opinion on this:

Again and this time it's Mexican authorities, they are trying to single out Tijuana as a Bangkok, Mexican version.
There was a high profile meeting in Baja California discussing this, specially they talked about new laws placed to stop people trafficing.

As always they keep insisting on "12-13 year olds paraded on the streets"... "barkers offering lineups of minors in the clubs".
(sounds familiar??? am not kidding, it was quoted at this meeting).

What's your take on this, this time around????
