Let me come clean with it a bit. Its like this.
Initially when I went to the zona I was a sex butterfly, I never went with the same girl twice if at all rarely. Then something happened in my personal life with a broken relation which had been on the fire for some time. Then this Bar Girl came into my life and I thought she genuinely cared and seemed different. I found out/cross checked myself and with some board members.
Another thing I am not even your old fat gringo type. I am 6 feet 180 pounds, 43 , muscular, not exactly a Brad pitt type, however but neither one of those end of the line guys either. So having said that, I have this girl, who says she is my "novia". She involves me with her family and other stuff, Her parents insist on marrying her "rapida". But at best I have had mixed relation with her. I dont know whats wrong with me, why dont I just stick to the American side. Deep in my heart I know there is someting wrong somewhere. Many times she asks money for her family whatever and I oblige. But I dont want to hurt myself big time! At the same time I am not able to cut off this relation. Everytime I move away she comes back and it starts all over again. Sometimes I feel lonely and go back to her. I am blind/oblivious to girks around here. She looks a very much like the girl I loved a long time ago and whom I wrongly abandoned, it always bothered me and I never seem to have forgiven myself. Looks like I am all fucked up inside (sorry about the french)
I got "moonstruck" at first sight, and then I wait for her the cell pone ring and think "God let it be her...."
Then I temporarily move away and start drinking and thinking "Are you lonesome tonight.....I would rather live with your lies, then stop loving you."
I need to be like Sampson, and stop analyzing like Fireballs (though he is right) and listen to Amigomio and walk away before its too late.... I temporarily stopped going to the zona, luckily I am not near right now, but I can always make the trip, but I am afraid I cant control myself once I am there.. I invariably end up sticking with her all the time, though sometimes she takes it for granted. Her actions dont always match her words. I tell her to leave the Zona, but at same time I dont want to commit because of my apprehensions. There are many red flags in the relation. Damn I need to get control back. I have to tell myself am I better off second guessing myself without her or am I better off second guessing myself with her.... I am afraid I will not be able to accept her past and it will mess up an already shaky affair.

God was this one a nightmare. Exactly what you posted. Met her in Living Dolls, telling me 15 minutes after we met "she loved me." What was worse is she wanted me to tell her that "I loved her." BTW, I'm not a gringo, and I spend lots of time in Mexico, and not just Tijuana. I also have family in Mexico, but mostly from my wives side, and in the summer months, you can even find me living close by Tijuana on weekends, as I rent a place from one of my son's friends.

And I just don't necessarily agree with your caste system between Mexican Prostitutes, and talking about the Mexican Indians doesn't even belong in this topic, but they are all over Tijuana also, and largely ignored almost in their own world, and no they don't make good providers.

You are mixing oil and water here, and no, the situation of TJ and La Zona is not a general rule for the whole of Mexico.
You have the idea that a girl from the poor socio-economical level of our country can become a hooker and will land in TJ or any other Zona, but that is not true. The majority of the poor in Mexico are native Mexican indians and they are really not the type that can fit within the caste of prostitution (we Mexicans are openly racists to native Mexicans and to lower classes too)
You don't know quite well the dynamics of our society, nor the mechanics of the prostitution as business. As a matter of fact, you can't even notice the difference between castes of our society, much the less the castes between prostitutes.
Prostitutes in La Zona are there working, and this is a wild guess, cause they need money???
And I say "wild guess" cause in my 5 years of posting at different forums, I have never ever read someone seriously post the reasons the girls are working as prostitutes at TJ, because you don't seriously care.
