Bohemian I have no intention of engaging in any verbal sword play, be it with your best writer, you or any others. I have no idea what the current type of responses are at TJA, nor do I care. I posed a question to a post and was attacked. I posted the question with humorous, not malicious intentions. Granted the way I posted it was, shall we say, pointed. That said, it was not name calling nor inflamatory like the response it garnered. My response to the attack does in fact contain a bit of sarcasm, yet is not, in my opinion a counter attack. As the poster in question pointed out, there is an ignore user option, and considering how vehemently he feels towards me, I ended my post with merely the suggestion that he would be happier if he in fact used it. In the future I will do my best to not offend you, your best writer, nor anyone else on your site. If I do happen to step on anyones toes, please do not hesitate to call me on it, either publicly or private.

The trannies don't stand against the wall in that area, but they will rush you coming from the diagnol like in packs of 3's...they want to get your attention and then one makes a move for your pockets....This seams to happen often in the 2am to 4am window...it may now have slowed down with that police substation in the area.

I go into many gay bars, and i have never been approached by them, and no i am not some troll. They get the vibe that , hey i am not interested and stay the fuck off me. And the only reason my wife and i go to these places is we like variety and they have the cheapest beer(coldest i might add) and they generally have the best live shows, bands and karaoke,

they really take that stuff seriously, i mean there is a bar next to the Long bar , on the diagonal street, upstairs there is a Karaoke bar, of course downstairs is a gay bar, but in this bar is a dude that had a sex change , looks like a coked out Cher, but has the pipes, i mean she sings everything perfectly, so much that on weekend days, u can catch her doing live stuff on the seforum.xxxe under the arch.

But anyway in there 1 dollar corona , damn near close to ice, corona is a hard beer to find in TJ due to the Tecate vendors pushing their Sol. But across from there u get 1.50 cayamues(spelling) u know the 32 oz beers.


I go to this places just for variety and cheap beer, and quite honestly i have had more fun in some of this places than anywhere, the gay community , once out of the closet really know how to let it all out.


BTW I have never sang a song yet, but love to see others perform.

So I'm now going to talk about how to get our of the choke hold, and what I would do. I really don't know a whole lot in this area, as I never had martial arts training, except taking my kids to practice, and never been in the miltary. I have lived in a gang infested area when I was a kid to my teen years, and lucky for me I was bussed out of the area otherwise I'm sure I would have been a gang-banger too, but I have had my share of fights with gang bangers coming home, or visiting my grandma's house in East Los Angeles and hanging out in the summers. For gang-banging fighting and being considered tough is one of the few ways they can gain respect. In Tijuana, if you are going to become a victim of a choke hold. it will most likely come from a gang banger( cholo) either deported from the states, and now has to make his living doing low level crimes, drugs, and smuggling drugs and people across the border. I also recently found out that Tijuana has many cholo gang bangers too, from different gangs all over Tijuana, so be on the look out for gang members, and try not to let them get behind you.

A choke hold is very difficult to get out of, so the best defense is not to allow yourself to be put in that position. I talked to Ben, another of Burt's distinguished member, and asked him if he ever been mugged, as I wold have remembered, and he said he hasn't, and he has been all over Tiuana, and a perfect mugging victim, he is old with money. But he told me he felt he was followed once coming from REVO onto ART 123, by gang-bangers so he just turned around and walked straight pass them, and they rudely said, hey pops to him. He did exactly the right thing, he didn't allow them to get behind him. ( sorry we can't count this as a mugging, as he couldn't tell you for sure if those guys meant him harm)

Now if three gang-bangers are asking me for money especially if they have weapons, I'll probably hand it over to them, as I could always replace the money.( if they took my last $60 dollars before I fucked a provider, I might have to fight them, because that's just such a cruel thing to do to a addicted monger)

Seriously, if they put you in a choke hold, I think you have to fight, as choke holds are life threatening, and one of the reason why police agencies don't use them anymore, because a few people died when they struggled.

So next write up will be specific things to do including the most recommended things, like trying to separate yourself a little from the mugger by moving forward a little bit, and taking a fist and rolling it in a tight ball, swinging it forward, and then very hard right swing down into the BALLS of the mugger as hard as you can! He will let go.

That diagonal street is harmless, hell my wife and I frequent a Karaoke bar there, and yes a lot of gay bars and gays in the clubs, but they know just as well as u know they are gay, they know u are straight. hell they might just whistle or wink , but they mean no harm. Many years ago when i was younger and dumber, i too believed all the horror stories of TJ, and feared ART123 like the plague. But now I just choose to walk in the street and not in the shadows of the sidewalks. For lame reasons , first i dont want to be touched by these SGs and i find the smell and be as if someone pissed and vomited in the streets.

the smell is far more harmful than anyone on that street. I think it might be the exhaust from one of the chicken fryers on that street, but who knows. it just stinks.

What TJ needs to do is tear up that street just as they have most others in that area and do it up nice with the palm tress and cobbled road, but hey who am I.


I mean the diagonal street has been improved beautifully, and it ends at McDonald's where i like to get a softy before the close on these hot summer nights.

Careful in this area as lot of mongers from other sites think the SGs in this area are girls, they are not, as 95% of them are trannies

I think that depending on the "need" trannies can be very aggressive just like US girls on the street....they try to distract you, get in your pocket and get out quick.

KingT, I don't know where exactly he was....a bad place before is right where that diagnol walk starts which is pretty close to the Mariachi's stand...I have been approaced there by Transvestites wanting to pick my pocket, but they generally back off when you let them know you know the score...I believe that is the origin of lots of the mugging type crime in the area.
