Review Yoyo @ serene Ocean

I was looking forward to a massage from a no mileage girl I haven’t seen in months. Alas, she’s not in until late this afternoon when I already have prior commitments. But I was in the area already so I decided to go to serene ocean. I haven’t been here before but from what I’ve heard, they like to keep a low profile and off of MP entirely.

But I had came here as a walk in without knowing anyone and had such a great massage from Yoyo that I felt I had to share. Disclaimer: I haven’t seen the the oft mentioned Mia, Angela or Lola.

My upper back was pretty sore from a workout on Saturday so I asked for a hard massage. Yoyo asked if I wanted some back walking, and I said sure. Yo-yo’s massage is NOT the relaxing type at all. I’ve had some back walking from other MPA’s before but yo-yo’s is the best yet. She manages to work all the muscles (eg both sides of my forearms, for example). She she knows how to put the proper amount (lots) of pressure on the various muscles and gets everything that could be reached from laying face down. She doesn’t step on joints like some others do, and no mistakes stepping on the spine. It’s clear this woman knows what she is doing. And she’s very good at it. Afterwards for the oil massage, she does an excellent job. She doesn’t use too much oil and also gets everything. I have some pretty big knots in my legs and she found them but she didn’t work them out. I guess most of her customers don’t work them out. She figured out where the sensitive areas are and avoided those.

After that was done, came some stretching. I never had a Thai massage before. But she worked on stretching my pecs from me laying down. Also the legs - quads and hamstrings and glutes. I was impressed.

Anyways, I only wanted a good massage today and Yoyo delivered a great one. What a great find as a random walk in. She has been a masseuse for 10’years and presently works 6 days a week at Serene Ocean. I think she’s got a new regular customer.

I kept this as a no mileage massage. Room fee was $70 and I tipped extra because it was so good.

Again, this is NOT a relaxing massage. I’m gonna be sore later. But it was a great massage if you want all your muscles worked at. I don’t know how she works 6 days a week doing this; it must be super tough on her body. Definitely appreciate it though.

I use to go all the time to Serene they have been know to have great massages as Boss Lady prioritizes quality massage over fun and looks. She doesn't like her spa to get a bad name with all the MP bullshit that goes on. But all the girls there will deliver a quality massage and some good light fun. Some are little more higher mileage as well.

Yeah man. I was very happy with the quality of the massage I got! Exactly what I needed!

I've been seeing Yoyo at Serene for years for this very reason. Her backwalking is unmatched and extremely thorough. Combine this with the hand massage and stretching and you have an amazing experience. Can't recommend her enough.

Note her English is limited though she tries her best to communicate. Very sweet once you get to know her.. true gem.

yes. i concur. i know the mamasan tries to keep it low profile, but this woman is a fantastic masseuse and i think deserves recognition for it.

Don’t want to start a new SO thread for some brief comments so I thought I would add them here.

Haven’t repeated with yoyo. I saw Amber a few weeks ago, and I noted elsewhere that her backwalk isn’t as good as yoyo. So if you have muscular legs and want them worked on, yoyo is definitely the way to go. But Amber does do very good work with her arms l. So shoulders, back, arms and hands she does a really good job.

I did a walk in recently one night and got April. She’s one year into a two year RMT program so she’s pretty decent at massages. She speaks English and knows anatomy well enough so I can say what muscle groups I need work on and she understands, and also does the complementary muscles. She’s got strong hands and does ask for feedback to make sure she applies the right pressure.

All in all, the masseuses here have been good so far, and relatively low mileage for those of you guys who aren’t interested in mileage.
