It's ironic that the oldest profession in the world is considered illegal in most countries.

You've got thank conservatives who supposedly have the moral argument, by supporting strict laws.
while in practice grope, sexual harassing women while in office.

I think you guys in Canada have it a lot easier than the lunatic police state of the US.

Few sex workers want to be on the government radar and pay taxes and be registered as prostitutes for obvious reasons.
Sex workers understandably have concerns about safe work environments but it would be hard to have government allow for safety and anonymity in a business where for the most part clients and sex workers wish to remain in the shadows.
Those sex workers who are few and are publicly advocating for change and do the heavy lifting are very brave.

If the government bureaucracy, red tap and legislation on legal pot shops is any indication as to what may happen if law makers decided to make prostitution legal then it would be guaranteed that the illicit sex trade would still continue as well.

Many prostitutes and their clients like things as they are and want to continue having their cake and eating it too.

Marijuana shops are popping up like dandelions in May. Marijuana will be sold legally and illegally. The same goes for sex. If sex workers and clients want to do the same, then so be it. If clients want sex more widely available as the marijuana shops, and sex workers want increased safety and less hassles from the police, then so be it. More choices for sex is a good thing.

Neither the Liberals or Conservative would do anything although Trudeau paid lip service to some reforms but he is in enough hot water and often up the creek anyway so may want to avoid any hassle. The NDP may do something if they had a majority but they are in no position to form a government anytime soon. With a Liberal minority, the NDP in the role of “kingmaker” would not use prostitution reform as a lynchpin issue. Significant change will only come from a ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada ordering the PM to make a new law instead of Bill C36.

Canadians desperately need to be protected from unholy athiests, but you're manning the barricades demanding your right to pay women to fuck you.

The downfall of society has already started when the government decided to legalize same-sex marriage, and marijuana.

You don't know how the political system works. Therefore, you think you are a Mrknowitall. Today's Conservatives are actually against same sex marriage, abortions, and legalizing marijuana. Everything that Trufolo is in favour of. Yes the Consevatives were in power for many years. But the Harper Conservatives are not the Progressives of Kim Campbell, Brian Mulroney and Joe Clark. They are 2 completely different political parties. Harper tried to reverse the same sex marriage, but he lost the vote in the House of Commons. He also wanted to change the abortion laws, but the NDP and the Liberals didn't want anything to do with it. They keep saying that they don't want to divide the country, whilst we all know that the majority of Canadians are against these 3 items in question. A Prime Minister can't just snap his fingers and change laws on a whim. He needs the support of the other Parties as well. And that's what I mean when I say Jihadi Trufolo is running a Dictatorship government instead of a Democracy, because he has banned every Pro-Life candidate from his party. Almost every jackass Liberal Prime Minister we have had has been a Roman Catholic, but in name only. They should be ex-communicated from the church because what they practice in their everyday lives are against their own religion, instead of setting an example. Jihadi Trufolo acts as an Athiest who should not be considered as a role model for his kids, and the younger generation. You make a good wage at your job, then you do what everyone else does and pay your tax. You make minimum wage, you pay a much lower amount.

The same should be for sex work. If the ladies make 10,000/month, don't you think it's fair if they pay a little of that to offset some of your taxes, especially if you're breaking your back to make a measly 2000/month?

Why are some ladies charging 500/hr, when some are charging 200/hr? Maybe regulation will close that gap and stop some ladies from ripping us off.

I'm pretty sure i have an excellent grasp of tax law.

I also know that MPA's making $100k only claim $20k and pay taxes on that. You tell me they will want to pay taxes on the full pop. Give your head a shake.
