I just signed up for the "retail package" and it has automated my welcome letters, referral thanks letters, and birthday cards. I'm wondering if it makes sense to upgrade to entrepreneur package in order to create another income stream.

Interesting. When you say "letters" do you mean you're sending a welcome card? Or do they do letters on normal sheets of paper too?

They are greeting card-hundreds to choose from for any occasion and then you customize them if you wish. You can create "campaigns" and then choose whom to send them to, according to groups you create. For instance, I will have a "birthday" campaign, and I will select all my October birthday clients (The info comes from their card in my addressbook) and it will send out the card, personalized with the person's name. My Thanks for Referring cards are done individually, so I can be more personal about the message.

They offer postcards, regular bi-fold cards, and 4 panel cards. The cards cost points, and the points' cost is determined by which package you buy. You also buy poseforum.xxxe. If I send 15 cards a month for a year, the cards will average out to less than a dollar per, plus poseforum.xxxe.

I have only been using this service for a couple weeks, and I've already sent out a total of 22 cards. Kind of cool and streamlined.

I also use Send Out Cards and love it! I have spoken about it on a few other threads here. I signed up for the Entrepreneur package for the possibility of extra income. However, I do not actively market. I use the service to send cards/postcards and if someone asks me, I will tell them. I also sometimes send gift certificates to friends/family to send a few cards here and there.

I have introduced three people to the system. But I have no idea how successful I would be if I actively worked the business. I may do it someday, but right now I am just happy what it does for my business.

Send Out Cards keeps me very organized. I never touch the actual card, I just create it via the internet and SOC does all of the work.

Here is what I do every month through SOC. I send out birthday postcards with a $10 offer at the begining of the month for all birthdays that particular month. The offer is only good for the month of their birth.

I see who hasn't been in for at while and send them a special offer.

The system allows me to send out a batch of cards at one time. Since I put in birthdays, it can separate out clients by birth month. I can also pull up my entire client list and decide who I will send a post card to.

The system isn't cheap. To get the wholesale price of 39 cents per post card, you have to pay at least $300 up front. That gets you some starter points and starter poseforum.xxxe, but not much.

SOC saves me tons and tons of time each month.

Each postcard I send costs me 39 cents plus poseforum.xxxe. I can send one postcard at a time or one million postcards. As long as I have an address, I can send them a card. They really push the distributer packages. I did it, but if I had it to do over again, I would have saved the extra $100.

In addition to what others have said, I also want to note that you can create your own handwriting font and personalize the card with the person's name. You can also add your own photo to the front of the card/postcard and add photos/images to the inside of the greeting cards.
Also, you don't have to create your card, wait for them to be printed and sent to you; then you have to write them all out, address them and stamp them.

Another great option is that there is now a tri-fold card available. Once could set this up as a brochure type card to send to potential clients or an informational brochure to welcome new clients. It's a great option.

In Send Out Cards you can create a 'campaign' where you set up the postcard exactly how you want it, and then go to your address book and simply check off who you want to receive the card. After creating your card, it literally takes seconds to send it to 1 or 1000 people. It's printed and sent the next day.

It may seem that way. But my take on it is that you really can make the $100 back fairly easily and have a little extra income without doing much work. I don't actively market the system and have made back more than I paid initially to sign up. Plus I get a little check every now and then. Again, it's not much. But I did little to no work to get it.


I know some of this may seem sales-y. But that's just the way it comes across on paper (or, um, screen). It's just that I truly am excited about the service for both my business and personal life and think that people should at least check it out. It has saved me money with all of my card sending and is pretty fun to use. Why not share something you love with everyone? Why keep it secret? :grin:

A postcard is one point, a regular card is 2 points, and the tri fold is three points. If you want to personalize a card with your own photos, that cost an extra point no matter how many photos you put in the card.

In order to get the wholesale price, you have to commit to a monthly amount of points and they charge you automatically. Points roll over and never expire.

99% of the cards I send through SOC are postcards and my card count is almost at 900. I have had the system for one year.

First, I'm curious about your cost. Wholesale should only be .31 cents per point. So, a tri-fold with my own pics uploaded (plus poseforum.xxxe) does cost $1.66 per card. But these I use sparingly. And even then, I think a very personalized, full-color, glossy, tri-fold for less than $2 a person is really good.

I can change/delete/add any material and pics I want at anytime or for each individual that I am sending it to - without having to go have new ones printed. Plus I can do all this at 3:00am if I wanted to (which I don't).

There is also the aspect of Send Out Cards (SOC) that is 'You get what you give' and it's not just about sending cards. It's about building relationships with clients so that you are the first person they think of when they need bodywork; and you are the first name they give when someone asks or is talking about bodywork. It's not all about marketing.

And SOC is about improving the quality of your relationships in your personal life. Using the system to not only send birthday, holiday, anniversary cards; but using the system to send the unexpected 'I love you' card or the 'I miss you' or simply a 'Hi'.

People love getting cards in the mail. But it has to be heartfelt and genuine. Otherwise it's just more marketing/junk mail that they toss.

You are correct Brian. Points are 31 cents each. I don't know why I had 39 in my head. Anyway, even at 31 cents a point, a tri fold card is still an expencive piece of marketing material.

I bought into all the hype they tell you about getting connected. It is hype simply because it's an MLM. All MLM's are about the hype. You are either a card person or not. I am not and thought SOC would make it easier for me to send cards to family members. 99% of the time I use it for business purposes only. I still forget family members birthdays. It is just the way I am and family members and friends know this. It goes hand in hand with ADD.

I used to do them all by hand and it took so much
time. Now I just click and it's done.
I probably spend about $30 a month. I use it
