We already heard on this site how there was suppose to be a frenzy free-for-all from the TJ cops as Hank Rhon, the outgoing mayor, was going to be replaced along with all the top heads of the police department, meaning since a lot of cops were gong to be out of work, this was there last chance of ordering the rip offs of 'gringos' who visit Tijuana.

Well, the baton has already been passed, I was in TJ the last day of the exchange, and the streets were quiet, and I certainly wasn't shaken down nor were most mongers. This frenzy of non stop police rip offs that was being talked about never materialized. Oh there has been a few reports, but there is always a few reports on these sites, and I doubt you can make a case or rip-off reports being greater over another period, even taking into account the growth of members on sex forums.

Now we did hear about surfers and Baja racers being ripped off, but that was suppose to be from fake cops not real ones, and it's suppose to also be in response to the words of the incoming mayor, who was claiming he was going to do something about the crime in Baja and police corruption problems, and the robbers wanted to show the new mayor that his talk is cheap.(besides that a few of those reports never got reported to law enforcement either in Mexico or the states)

The other story we hear a lot, and again heard it on this thread, is during Christmas, TJ cops will rip off more American tourist during Christmas time, because they have to buy Christmas presents too for their family and mistress. It sounds plausible but again not facts to back it up, just a bunch of talk you hear on whore-mongering sites who hear this story and pass it on as fact.

So this year, I'm going to wait for all these rip off report from Christmas hungry TJ cops, again not even paying attention that more people are in the streets in TJ, out of work on vacation, and have more money in their pockets.

Thomasm if your concerned about your marriage don't monger in the states, while your wife is at home. You have a bigger chance of getting busted in the states with all the prostitution laws then you have in Tijuana.

This is very good advice.

Shakedowns at the border come and go. The cops were very active the past year; however, under the new mayor things have are somewhat better--at least for the moment.

Another option (besides driving) to get to the border without having to walk past cops is taking the Mexicoach bus. The station is on Revolucion between 6th and 7th. I think the last bus is at 9pm.

You are 100 percent correct in that I did ask the same question last year. I actually DID go last year and had a very good time. My reason for asking the same question was to get additional feedback since I've only been there once before. Call me a little bit of a nervous nelly, but I wanted to get as much info as possible before heading into TJ. I read stories hear and there about people running into problems and even though I was there last year, that's not enough experience to say I'm a pro at going there. Problem is that I'm married. Getting an STD is one thing, for which i'm extremely careful of. However, getting into any kind of trouble or some how arrested by corrupt police for no reason is my main concern. Me calling back to the US to get bailed out would be a major problem for me and would virtually kill my marriage so that's why I asked again.

Anyway - I DID actually go tonight and here is my report. Parked in the parking lot to the right of the last exit in the US. Walked across the boarder with no problems getting a cab to Adalitas. Went right in and grabbed a beer. It was my intent to hold off for a bit but this one senorita sat by me and was smoking hot with some big natural ta-ta's which is my biggest weakness. Went upstairs with her and simply got a nice rubdown and a bj for $60 (wasn't intersted in f'ing). Went back down, had several more beers, talked to some US people off/on. Then went back up with another for some more fun, this time simply bj and then f'ing the ta-tas. Others certainly would have gone for more but this was enough for me and playing it safe was what I was interested in, but yet getting my rocks off. Anyway, after this, another beer or two, then grabbed a cab back to the border and walked across.

Bottom line is that from my 2 times being there, it seems pretty safe simply getting a cab from the border to Atalinas. Very good time over all and appreciate all the advice others have given from these boards! Might even be back in San Diego next week and may do it again!

Hey Thomasm your post looked familar so I took a look at your previous posts and you just about asked this same question last year in 2006,except this time you want to go to Adelitas based the the answers given to you last time.

Hey Thomasm, if you didn't go last year, I bet you'll chicken out this time too? I don't blame you with all those scary stories you read about Tijuana. But you just have to remember one thing, if those guys are still going TJ all the time, it can't be all that dangerous. In fact if you ask me it's almost as safe as going to Disneyland compared to the places in the US where I use to monger, and risk getting arrested from US cops because of it.

I see Thomasm, that you actully went into a MP in the US, and even that takes balls, because you are risking getting arrested in a police sting or something like that. If you can believe it, some guys who say TJ is dangerous would never risk going with provider in the US because of the fear of getting busted. So in a way you show less fear then a lot of Tijuana only mongers.

But if your still concerned about getting mugged, I suggest you contract an escort agency, maybe someone like Sampson here, some of the guys or escorts will pick you up at the border, and take care of everything for you, take you to a nice hotel, give you an hour of GFE sex, and then drop you back off at the border where it's safe, and kiss you goodbye.

I would suggest parking in the Uata parking lot, take the last exit before the boarder on I5 or I805 and go strait past the first light, it is on the right. If you miss the last exit on I5 or 805 go to the far left lane, you can make a U turn just before the boarder. When you cross the boarder go strait to the yellow cabs, don’t turn to the right when walking in, you can’t miss them. $5 to Adelita Bar (AB), there are cheaper taxis but this is the easiest. Also take yellow cab back to the boarder. I would also suggest not to go back to the boarder between 11 PM to 6 AM, the TJ police like to single out tourists and rob them in the night, it is time for their Christmas bonus.

Hey guys - Heading to San Diego, will be there on Wed night and was thinking about taking a ride down to TJ to go to atalinas (sp?). My question to you is this - how safe is it? If I park on the US border, cross, then get a cab right to Atalinas, will I be cool? Last thing I need is to some how end up in a bad area and/or get mugged, etc. This would pretty much screw up my home life if something were to go wrong, know what I mean?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
