After 5 years of working in a fast pace environment and not being able to adjust the table inbetween clients, I finally requested a new table and they said yes!!! WOOHOO!

So I am local to Oakworks so no other brand is even a thought. Yes, I am loyal, any oakworks table I have worked on has held up great. The company I work at agreed to the Proluxe Seville with the ABC system. I am up in arms about the ABC system. Like what if it malfunctions, am I going to be left with a hole in the table?

Has anyone here worked on this table? Own one? What are your thoughts?

I have the the next model up, with a manual elevating head, but essentially the same table. I LOVE my table. It has completely changed the way I practice. Well worth the investment in yourself. Specific questions: Ask.

I watched the video. It looks to me like you can opt to not even use the ABC system, if you are uncomfortable with it. But, I do see what you are asking about.

Another option may be to order a second platform cushion insert (the one that fits in the well). Then maybe you could just remove the air bladder and add it into the well to support the original cushion that comes with the table.

Personally, I don't like any extras that might possibly break on a table, so I would prefer to have the plain Seville, and not the one with the insert --- too many extra potential problem parts (air bladders don't make me comfortable, esp. since they say in the video that it will have a tendency to loose air and you will have to most likely re-pump it during a long session).

I have no doubt that I will be ordering that table. My final decision to get the ABC system or not is what I am up in arms about.

It looks like a GREAT concept but I can't find any reviews about it. Looks like a fairly new product. And like pueppi said, the idea of something that could malfunction..... YIKES!

Oakworks is right down the highway from me and I really wanted to see the table in person but they no longer have a showroom! BOO!

Probably I will opt out of the ABC system to be safe.

Either way, getting an electric lift table is a HAPPY moment! I am SO excited!

Well, after much thought.... and speaking to the CS at Oakworks, I decided to get it WITH the ABC system. If it does malfunction, it can be fixed easily and quickly, especially since I have a maintanance team here to do it.

I can not WAIT!! Finally able to have the table just where I want it at all times!

(I am betting I get so use to it I get one for my private office too. Unfortunately that one I will have to buy myself. LOL)

I got the table last Friday! And wouldn't you know it, I haven't had a large breasted women yet. Haven't been busy with Christmas around the corner, you know?

But the table in general is amazing. It is about 2 inches longer then the other, so the cover I was using on the old table doesn't fit. No biggie. The newer face rest system is very nice too. The electric lift aspect is great, the table is very steady.

Now so far I have noticed due to the ABC system, that when I am working on a client supine, working on the neck mostly, that the air cushion underneath will move somewhat. And make a small noise. But I am actually thinking that it might have some advaneforum.xxxes, having that little bit of give.

It does seem to lose some air but not much. I won't have to adjust it with every client, probably just at the beginning of a shift. Which is good because I haven't figured out what I am going to do about the cord to that motor which oddly is to short so I need to get with the compnay about an extension cord and then have to tape it down to the floor. So this table has 2 cords to plug in. The one that controls the table is more then long enough but the one for the ABC system is WAY To short.

I have a feeling I am going to break down and get one of these for my office. Not sure about the ABC system on that one though. Gotta play around with it here first.

Another update.

I will be ordering this table for my own office but not with the ABC system. It has to many quirks and I hate having to take so much into consideration while doing work. Between each client I do have to check to make sure to much air didn't release, even if I personally didn't release it. I don't know why sometimes it seems more releases then others. Sometimes it remains at the same level.

When I do release some to give women who are prone comfort, they do seem to be more comfy.

so nice for them..... but the whole system is annoying to me. Maybe I will adjust.

Do you have just one or two petals to adjust the height?

I have one that I leave on the one side of the table, sort of in the middle. But when I order one for my office, I was trying to figure out of it would be worth the extra money to have one say at the head, the other at the feet???

I ordered mine with one foot pedal, but I'm kinda wishing I'd gotten two. (Though it does drive me nuts every time I step on it by accident, so if I had two maybe I'd be completely insane by now???) I do very little lower extremity/full-body work so I have mine on the right side of the table (as you are standing at the foot looking toward the head) near the foot of the table.

Make sure you remember to take the ADA credit on your income taxes - it's a direct credit that will save you a TON of $$

I remember at the Spa I worked at, the tables had hand controls as well as pedals. I also accidentally step on the pedal at times. lol

IIRC, there is. I have my tax guy do all that for me tho so I'm not really sure which forms etc.

Another question for you all with the Seville:

Do you have it sitting on a carpeted floor? My office has laminate flooring and I already noticed that it has some scratching some my old table legs. NOt sure how, it apparently is just the one leg that did it. As the Seville is raised or lowered, is there any chance of scratching?

The Seville at my other office is on carpet.

Btw, I am on middle grounds in regards to the ABC system. Women have mentioned they LOVE it. It is me who finds it annoying. For one, because of that system, the head rest has shorter arms so has to be 'tied' to the table (It is set up that way, velcro straps are in place). So there is no easy on and off with it so I leave it attached. Which then gets in my way when I am working on folks upper bodys and am sitting at the head of the table. Secondly, I always have to check the level of air in the cushion, there is no consistancy as to why sometimes air seems to leak more then others. Perhaps some clients are putting way to much pressure on it as they get off the table or roll over.

So no final decision has been made for when I purchase the table for my own office but right now, I would bet I will get it minus the ABC system.
