hot stone massage kits?

i am thinking of getting my wife a hot stone massage kit for xmas. anyone know if they are worth the money or will it wind up in the basement as another goast of xmas past.

The kit can be spendy but if you just get the stones or like someone said go along the river bed and find river rocks that are smooth and flat. The river rocks are one of the best(besides the really expensive ones that are like marble.) that hold the heat longer and don't break as easily when in really hot water. If you find them along the river then they are free.

Then you just go out and buy a 18 quart crock pot and that is the same thing as a kit. Is she going to be using them or are you going to give them to her. You can always buy book or video and learn how to properly use them. Then you 2 can use them on each other. But beware you have to have them in very hot water and your hands have get use to holding suck hot rocks.

Think about how much the kit is and how much it is to have her go to a spa and have it done. compare and if its the same treat her to a spa day. she might like that more. remember she most-likely will have you doing the massaging. if that's kool with you try it keep the receipt just in case this way if its headed to the basement, redirect it to the store for return.
