Can someone please give me some information on the COCAL? Is this a place to stay to meet chics? Do the hard dicks outnumber the chics? What is the protcol?

Went there about 4-5 times in November for 2011 and every night the bar was packed with girls, 20+ at the pool bar alone.

Popped by a couple of times this weekend. Not really a fair weekend to judge the place as Jaco was kind of quiet in general. Some girls by the pool during the day on Sunday. Nothing really tempting, but not bad either.

Was there Saturday and Sunday not much going on in Jaco at all this weekend. There was a hot massage girl by the beach $60 per hour and it looked like it was worth it. no lack of customers. The rooms looked nice we stayed at a tico motel down the beach a ways. The casino looked ok never had any luck at a beach casino. The pool had a few hotties but most looked like they were wifed up and they had a eventful sat night in Jaco.

I remember paying $60 for a poolside room 2 years ago. Now it's $95 in the off-season.

I've stayed there many times, though it's been a couple of years. My view is that it is a cheap, yet OK place to stay. The restaurant has a killer view and security is good. There will be a few chicas at the pool bar in the evening, though I don't know about the casino. If you want chicas, you go to the Beetle Bar and bring one back to the room. Take a cab late at night or take an oversized body guard, b/c the walk is long and dangerous late at night. The water is nice but the sand is dark gray - it's Jaco. Overall, it's an OK family/monger envirnoment. I would go there again, either to monger in Jaco, which cannot compete with San jose, or with my GF, who may not notice that the chicas at the bar are for hire.

Cocal supposedly goes off 9ish from thursday to saturday. Weekends bring some semi pros from Chepe' and as someone else stated the girls seem more willing to hang out, have some beers, dance a bit and seemingly enjoy their time with you. Le loft is a mix scene with a lot of the Cocal girls heading there to dance, hard to tell the buenas from the workers, but God forbid one makes that estimate in the wrong way. The Orchid room is the new vip at Monkey and seems to be getting some love here lately. (In the interest of full disclosure I have no affiliation with any of the above but enjoy normal hot ticas with a downward adjustment in price point.) 8)

Been there 4 times, never a disapointmnet- I have stayed in the hotel in cocal- clean and reasonable price- my last few stays were at the attached condos (Vista Mar- you bbok through the hotel as well), me and my buddies chip in and have a great place 3 bed rooms and a lot of space for 250-300 per night

We are in to the everyone chilling for the night- sexy party style

Never have been disapointed- cicas are usually happy to hang if you are offering food booze and $ (cien or there abouts) they are not watching the clock to go hang out and find another dude (from my experiance) (That is what we are into- do what makes you happy)

I hear recently Cocal bar is hot due to a recent high cover in Beatle (have not seen that first hand) We will be back next week...I'll let you know what I see!

I hope Saturday and Sunday is full of life

i was at BB and MB the other night in Jaco...then wandered into Cocal...definately the place to go.
dozens of WG...all shapes, nationalities and sizes...i went there around 10pm.

i didn't stay at the hotel....dont know about the rooms.

I live in Jaco and the Cocal is the place to be every night as chicas out number gringos 10-1 and a lot of Del Rey girls there lately. Picked up hot Colombian other night for $80. Low season prices around $60. Beatle Bar has elimated cover charge but beer is $5 and coctails also expensive and the place is dead now with few and lower end chicas hanging there. High end ones hang at Cocal.
