I am wanting to send out business proposals to Banks, Insurance Companies, etc.  What I would like to know is who to address the proposal to.  I know it needs to be someone with the authority to sign a contract with me.  For example...I want to send a proposal to the First and Peoples bank in my area.  Do I send the proposal to that branch and make it attention to "managment" or do I send it to the corporate office and explain I want to supply corporate massage to their branches in my area?  This is my first attempt to start any type of business arrangement....PLEASE HELP!!!!!   Thank you.

I forgot where I read it , but I remember that the dental profession has some of the worst body mechanics....I've offered some free massage time to dentists in the area on the idea that they will pay a portion of my time. This is a one time deal to give a taste and to build up to scheduling one-hour treatments for the entire staff.....who knows maybe you can swap dental work for it (I did for a tooth whitening......actually they whitened all of them)

I believe that you can go to the Chamber of Commerce in your city (or any city for that matter) and ask to get a list of all the businesses in the area.  They will provide you with a list of all the businesses and the owners of the business.  I'm not sure if it has anyone else's name but if you are looking to hit some "smaller businesses" this should work great.  I think they charge a small fee to print this up for you.  Someone told me about $12-$15 but I suppose it could vary depending on the city.

When I provided corporate chair massage (back when I was doing this as a full-time business); I would call the main site and ask to speak with the HR Manager or the person who was in charge of employee benefits for the company.  Normally, they are the ones who tend to make the decisions on things like providing/allowing chair massage at their company. Also, I would put together a professional looking portfolio that included different information flyers about the benefits of massage therapy, benefits of chair massage, stress test hand-out sheet, my business brochure, my business card, and a cover letter addressed to the individual with whom I was going to meet (including in the letter that I would offer them an introductory discount during my first visit).  I had repeated compliments from many HR personnel about my " professional presentation" of my business during our meetings.
