im going to phuket in october for 10 days.

can anyone tell me the basics of getting/paying for a thai girl and getting her back to your hotel or doing her on the beach.

Easiest way is to go to MTB in Soi Eric, introduce yourself to Nicke, who will introduce yourself to other board members, who can tell you how it works. That is if you get as far down the soi as the MTB; there will be about a dozen possees of girls trying to stop you, so that you drink at their bar ( a bit like shooting fish in the barrel)
If you find a girl you like - pay her bar fine (200baht) agree a price (1000 baht) take her back to your hotel (hotel will want to take her ID card, and may charge you a guest fee - watch out for that one it can be more expensive than the girl!).

Can you bring the girls to the beach or do they go only to hotels? My hotel is in Karon Beach and very strict on guests. Thinking of renting a second room in C&N to use there. Saves the trip and joiner fee

hi neiluk sorry i have just got back to my computer,i don't know whether the hotel your staying at has a joiner fee,but coolhand is probably right though , the general rule of thumb seems to be -the posher the hotel, the lightlyer it is that you will have to pay a fee to bring a friend back for the night ,you can bring her back during day hours fot free but not to sleep with u night time ,unless u pay extra--e mail the hotel and ask them what their guest policy is ,also, make sure u have booked a room with a DOUBLE bed not 2 singles!!(like i did)

Don't know if you paid in advance through a travel agent for the Amari ?

If you get an email back from them saying they don't allow guests or will be charging you a fee , then i would seriuosly consider trying to cancel even if that means losing a little deposit money.

You will probably find it would cost you more to stay there paying 1.500 joiner fee (ouch)

Get yourself in the C&N hotel.

hi b/blonde, yes that was a problem! but worse was that the wall lights which are normally over the little cupboard in between the 2 single beds, stuck out right in the centre of the bed when they were pulled together!
