Nope ... a rolling stop is a failure to stop. As per the highway traffic act you can get a ticket between $300 - for failling to stop at a sign and $1,000 running a red lightDid you do a rolling stop? ......
He simply did what cops do best, try to intimidate drivers into making a driving mistake so they can justify pulling you over.
They were probably doing a check on your plate while they were following you.
In Canada, checking your plate before stopping you, is illegal and a violation of your rights ... look it up
Cops stop people all the time. It's not against the law.
It is against the law; An officer pulling over a driver constitutes a detention, an officer must have reasonable suspicion in order to execute a detention. but they can invent anything in order to detain you. fortunately in Ontario most cops tent to be honest.
