I don't think you're following the news closely. The health care system for many countries worldwide is completely overwhelmed trying to deal with covid. Manufacturers everywhere are scrambling to produce enough PPE for health care workers in addition to ventilators which are needed for patients to breath. Morgues are piling up with dead bodies and they need army trucks to take them away. Countries are literally begging for help in desperation.
You seem to think I'm strongly against your POV. I'm not...I'm genuinely curious why we can easily deal with the common flu that kills so many more people but somehow covid is bringing the world to its knees. You're a Trump supporter...you know how much he's for the economy. He would never shut it down unless it was absolutely essential, yet here we are...
COVID as a disease is serious but...
The 'heal care system' for many countries... SUCK SHIT! MOST of the rest of the world are 3rd world countries, even most of the EU,and don't give a single shit about their own citizens and who spend next to nothing on their health care! Canada's healthcare is very good, but failing over all due to it's EXTREME cost to our society. Just because we want it does NOT mean we can afford it. But currently, it is still THE BEST!
"Health spending. In 2019, total health expenditure in
Canada is expected to reach $264 billion, or $ 7,068
per person. It is anticipated that, overall, health spending will represent 11.6% of
Canada's gross domestic product (GDP)."

PPE
There are NOT enough PPE in Canada because even a few months ago our FUCKING government (ie Justin Trudeau/Castro) gave 1.2 BILLION dollars to Iran/Iraq (the kind of governments who support honor killings, discrimination against gays, women and generally terrorize their citizens into obedience) INSTEAD of going to the PPE manufacturers and spending that money on buying stockpiling up on PPE, EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW WE, CANADA, WOULD BE NEEDING IT! (
I knew this would be an issue, so they MUST have as well, I ain't that smart). Or they just could have added the cost to general spending!!! (btw this includes all parties as AFAIK provincial premiers did nothing about this as well). PEE and ventilators DO NOT just magically appear out of thin air when need them, planning and production (ie the government insisting and buying) BEFORE they are needed must happen. And the governments of Canada,
again, did NOTHING (ie spend money) to stockpile any of these items.
Deaths
And CANADIAN morgues are NOT piling up with bodies. And absolutely and utterly FUCK the rest of the world, because they DO NOT SPEND even a fraction on health care that we do. And double fuck them anyway as I am not a supporter of either globalism or the religion of 'humanism'. THIS is Canada and Canadians are the people whom I care about.. We are NOT 'piling up with dead bodies' we have less than 400 deaths so far amongst the already most very fragile of people. It's called evolution, which is not caused by survival of the fittest but by the deaths of the weakest. Mother nature IS a bitch, but I don't have the balls to argue against 4 billion years of evolution using 'ideologies/philosophies' that are less than 200 years in the making.
Why COVID is a global issue:
Globalism, the moving of goods and people all over the world, is the ONLY reason for COVID is a pandemic, as the virus was spread around the world as well (but hey, it's great for the big multinational corps and their toady globalist totalitarian (pretend liberal/humanist) fascist politicians). The global economy has been failing long before COVID, but now COVID gives the globalists the ability to hide THEIR bullshit/fail (economically and environmentally) agenda by implementing measures that 'shrink the economy' 'because of the pandemic'. Which btw hopefully avoids a much more serious economic meltdown which would result in overall much more death and economic hardship then the COVID pandemic by itself would.
Common flu easy to deal with:
We don't easily deal with it... creating NEW flu shots, hospital stays and deaths by people are all very expensive but are now part of a 'routine' which makes it seem easy, while COVID is new and unfamiliar. SARS for instance, was serious and but now it's not. It is still here, people still get it and it has a death toll and it is never going away. Eventually, as a species and our health care system, will adapt to deal with COVID.
