“How was it?” From the front desk girl is not an invitation to provide details or hit on her. It is small talk. A few words in ressponse is what they are expecting. Would you complain about the price of peanut butter, or reveal that you ran into your neighbour who you hate to a Wal-Mart greeter on your way out? If you know the person at the desk, maybe a bit more small talk is in order.
Exception to this would be if person you encounter onyou way out is the owner AND you have a legit complaint or concern AND there are no customers waiting. I assume if service was terrible you wouldn’t go back, so why unload on anyone ?
