Went to South side location as everyone was booked up Thanksgiving.

Haven’t been here in 20 years and won’t be back. $99.75 for an hour. Massage was 6/10, booked time and masseuse double booked me so had to wait longer than planned. This has to be one of the highest prices in Edmonton besides an Eveline Charles type place not sure how they are still open.

Didn’t ask. Young and friendly Asian lady. A little bigger, a little cute, but price doesn’t justify the economy and other places.

Overhead is higher for this establishment due to lease costs, management costs and they pay better wages to their staff compared to other places. Yes, it is above market pricing to run the operation profitability but we are free to go anywhere as we please with our wallet. I paid $95 + 15% tip before in 2005 at The Boardroom Spa in Commerce Place downtown for an hour massage. It was catered to men however when business dwindle, they opened it up to women as well. At the time, I justified it as the upscale atmosphere and services provided was superb. Attractive all female staff, complimentary shoe shine, complimentary beverages, complimentary premium products for you to use when you showered, plush towels, bathrobes, customer 1st friendly service where they smiled, took my shoes off for me, put them back on for me, spa slippers to use, Premium Cable TV in the lounge, Selection of men's magazines, clean, relaxing and quiet atmosphere. I fully enjoyed all the extras listed they gave me.
I felt like a VIP client and I fully understand all those extras do co$t money and I was willing to pay for it. Sadly, economy tanked and business went south too.
Not all of us can keep up with the rising costs.

For this place you visited Asian4ever, its not for you either as the price is beyond what you are willing to pay and no extras were offered either like The Boardroom.

I used to see Tam whenever I was working in and around Edmonton. At the end of a long week I'd go early, quick shower, sauna for 15 or 20 minutes followed by another shower. Then receive an excellent deep tissue massage from Tam. She'd focus on what was bothering me the most, and adjust pressure to what I wanted. To me, cheap low quality massages are just not worth it.

I saw Tam there awhile back, the massage was fine, but it was strictly legit, and there wasn't really anything to justify the extra cost to me. I can get just as good of a massage elsewhere for 80 bucks.

Agreed, Tam is a nice enough lady but nothing that screams pay a premium.

The Boardroom Spa sounded fun. Anything like that nowadays?

I don’t mind paying more for more. The place is standard, perhaps sub-standard compared to some of the new facilities on the south side, but the location is prime so they must be paying a premium for sure.

There’s a nice Thai place I like on the south side, more money but the oils and other decor add to the cost for sure.

Obviously there is a clientele basis to support them which is great, just providing more intel for the group.

I received a Boardroom package as a gift from a supplier, definitely a unique experience but not one I would pay for personally.

1. Super attractive hostess to greet you, big plus
2. Take off shoes so they can shine, ok
3. Sit in comfy chair so I can watch sports, ommm... why? I can do that at home; oh yeah, hostess brought me a non-alcoholic drink
4. Change and sit in massage chair, to wait for stylist, almost an hour in and I am still by my lonesome.
6. Haircut but beautiful blond, okay, she is great looking but my $20 Italian barber does it better and faster, also a TV imbedded in the mirror showing sports, um, I would rather have the mirror to eye up the pretty blond.
7. Shower, sauna and wait for masseuse, left in a room by myself for WAY TOO LONG, almost two hours in and feeling extra lonely; I was ready to talk to anyone even a fat old ugly naked man.
8. Pretty brunette showed up, massage was strictly above the waist and below the knees with at least 8 layers to towels covering the vital region. 30-45 minutes of that and I was done.

Left the place and went across to the Penthouse for some proper human interaction.

Even if another Boardroom exists in the city, I would only take advantage of it if I have a buddy or a girlfriend to do it with. For a big chunk of the 1/2 day package, I was in a room by myself, I am a social animal, I like having someone to interact with.
