Agree there are negative health repercussions short of dying. As I have been asking Dr. Whitesnake for a very long time now, it would be really helpful for all the members of the board to know what the percentages are of total cases by age with aftereffects lasting longer than, say, three months...

Paying a sex trade worker to possibly give you COVID should NOT be part of living your life while taking precautions. Here is my list of non-essential that I will still take the risk to do:
1. The gym (they do an excellent job of limiting the numbers and you have to use an app to book)
2. The bookstore
3. A haircut
4. Starbucks (I only sit outside and will only do take-out now the days are cooler)
5. Gas (I have to use the pump)

That's it. There is something wrong with you and them (the women) if you think $160 is good value for the risk.

LOL..gyms are the most dangerous places to be in. Barber shop is not safe either.

Gyms, guys are breathing heavy and blowing out breaths and droplets out of exhaustion, so many guys going in and out touching everything and can you imagine how many droplets were dropped on the gym mats, equipments and floors. There is no way you can clean the gym 100%.

Barber shops, The barber hovering above your head for 10-15 minutes where the droplets may leaked out of his masks on to your face, head and hands. At least the hair cut is one on one and if the barber is clean and not asymptomatic , the risk is pretty low compared to gyms.

No matter where you go or what you do, there always is a risk. Virus is every where, on the hand rails, on the door knobs, gas pump handles, on the floor and such. That's why it is very important to wash your hands often. Wearing masks protect your hands from touching your face where mouth and nose are main gate way for virus to get into your lung. Educate yourself how the virus is spread, follow proper safety protocols and use common sense.

I just did not feel that like everywhere, that the message is getting across and the thread seemed to be showcasing the impact on elderly (i.e me) and not the demographic that is truly spreading the virus. Apologies if I got too passionate, but it does irk me that I hear more "you can't force me to wear a mask" than I do "yes, I am going to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer and social distance, this way I can help protect those more vulnerable than me". Hey, this virus could go away and I would be as happy as everyone else, but for now, wearing a mask is nowhere as bad as our grandparents had it in Spanish Flu or WW1 or the Great Depression, we are pampered too much. That is why for me, the infection rates are the relevant ones, not the death rates, as there are other factors in the death rates, infections are infections (even if the naysayers say thta all tests don't work and inaccurate, it is inaccurate across the age groups).
