I risked going to a spa by appointment

so I found an ad on kijiji for a spa that wasn't suppose to officially be open (in scarborough). The ad had over 8k views in 1 day so it's obvious that people can't wait to go which was my case. I texted the number and booked a spot for the massage. When I got there I called and the lady inside unlocked the door. She was wearing a surgical face mask. The rest of it was pretty normal. The room looked sufficiently clean and smelled of bleach, so I assumed that it was cleaned prior to my visit. I paid $50 for 45 mins and tipped $30 which is more than I usually tip (I do $20 mostly for a hj) because the massage felt fucking great. I could feel each vertebrae cracking lol. The place was "busy" on my way out. I will be waiting for the official opening date for my next massage.

Well, just back from my first spa visit in months. It was on the QT so can't say where as they were 'closed' but damn it felt great to be back in the hobby. DATY, BBBJ, CFS all on the menu and it was a good hour.

I hear alot of people whining about bills to pay. Most are getting CERB, have deferred mtg payments and now they cant get evicted for not paying rent.

With everyone convinced that they are opening next week, why advertise being open now. If they want to work then continue doing it secretly like they have been doing for the last few months. Why make it obvious and risk a fine. Just add to another bill that needs to be paid.

I went out this weekend for the first time since January. In a pre COVID world, I was the kind of guy who went out every month or two. I was initially planning on holding off on going until COVID ended. However, I just couldn't resist.

I was greeted with a mask and asked to wash my hands immediately. She wore a mask the whole time, but didn't use any gloves. I got a HJ but nothing more. I'm not a fs kind of guy so I was happy with what I got.

It felt so good to get a nice massage. I likely won't go back out until everything has reopened. However, I really enjoyed the brief taste of normalcy.

Yeah what do those people who lost their jobs have to complain about when they get 8K to cover them for four months AND they also get to pay all the money they owe on their mortgage at a later date?

That's like 24K a year... if it lasted more than a third of a year (well really only $7200 per year after the 70% in taxes all Canadians pay)...

They should use some of their unexpected bonanza to invest in the stock market... lots of upside to the economy tanking!

to those who didn't file tax return last year they are out of luck. living in the city is extremely expensive. majority of the $2000 will go toward the rent assuming your landlord insists on you paying the full rent.

I get asked for financial advice by MPAs all the time. The first thing i tell them is that they have a shelf life. Stop driving the luxury suv and stop buying the $10k hand bags.

Guess how many listen. So when they complain about having bills to pay I dont want to hear it. Very few have an exit plan. Do they think that they'll be giving hand jobs at the age of 60. Or that someone will marry a 40 plus tugger when there are younger options available.

Life is not easy or fair.

Also, many do pay taxes, albeit not for their full earnings. But not so easy either, if there was full transparency, many of these places would be shut down. I don't think any of us want that...
