Client xmas gifts

I ususally give each client that sees me in Dec. a small gift for the holidays. I am running behind this year, and would like to have some ideas on inexpensive gifts to give clients.

Last year I gave a funky coffehouse style mug ($0.99 @ Big Lots) with two packets of Bellagio Gourmet Hot Chocolate and a Biscotti. Clients loved it. I have two packets tied with ribbon for pretty much everyone - saved the mugs and biscotti for regulars.

I got the hot chocolate from a small coffee so I was able to get a deal by buying lots and lots of them. Paid about 1/2 price.

this year i am getting different gifts for different clients. i will be making a whole bunch of cookies and putting them in really nice tins for some clients. for others i have ordered some cd's that i will gift wrap for them. i bought movie passes for a couple of other clients and for a special few clients i am having gift baskets arranged for them. i haven't decided exactly what i will put in them but they will be expensive. there are a couple of clients that have spent over $3,000 with me in the past year so i like to give them something really special.

a mug with tea/coffee/hot chocolate is a really great gift too like dorikaters made. people always love that stuff and it's a great way to say "thank you". right now the dollar store has some really cool soup bowls. you could put in a can of soup and wrap that up as well. wouldn't really cost more than about $2.00 a client.

i found a really cool website that has edible arrangements. they are on the pricey side but it's something very different and unique for someone special. they are in many states. i have one in the same town i work in. i've been meaning to check them out. i assume it's an actual store, haven't really looked into that. anyway, here's the link... http://www.ediblearrangements.com/Default.aspx

I ordered small jewel-toned mesh bags from Oriental Trading Company and will put a Peppermint Cocoa votive candle (Yankee Candle), Good Earth Sweet and Spicy tea bag and a Burt's Bees lip balm in it. Costs less than $4/client. I have a women-only practice and right now it is small (just opened in October); also I am giving established clients a complimentary foot sugar scrub for December appointments.

Wow terab, these are some very generous gifts.

i went to a local craft show and bought beautiful but inexpensive hand made angels and hand sewn holiday bags to hold them. most of my clients are very religious so i know that the angels are perfect for them. for those who wouldn't like them as much, i've gone to pier1 and found some beautiful incense burners and such. not expensive either, found some for $2!

just thought of another really great gift idea that is really appreciated. if you know your clients well, you'll know if they have a pet. people love their pets! last year i made stockings for some of their dogs. i cut out a pattern of a big bone and then purchased some coduroy fabric. cut & sew together. then i used a silver chain collar and a silver grommet so that it had something to hang from and voile' a really cool gift for about $2 a piece. you could also purchase an initial for the dogs first name and iron it on. you could also tuck a bone inside. it's really cute and people love it! actually, it's a good gift for just about anyone you know (who has an animal that is!).

Something I am going to do is burn a nice relaxing christmas cd to give. Thinking I will add a candle and some other things and put in a nice cellophane christmas bag(get those in packs at the dollar store) and tie with a ribbon.

I think it is so important to show our clients how much we appreciate them. I feel so blessed by the wonderful clientele I am growing. It's so great to wake up everyday and say "I love my job"!!

Okay, I went out shopping and I ended up with bottles of linen spray and a votive candle that matches the spray. The linen spray smells so nice. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but very affordable. I had to buy a lot of them, so I had to stick to my budget. Thanks for all the great ideas!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
